There is an inside joke with me and my Tool buddies surrounding the time that I complained about seeing The Grudge as an opener about 6 times in a row. My buds still say I have a grudge against The Grudge. (That was back before I realized tbat the same tour would go on for years and years.)
They need to make more than that 1 change to get me excited about another cash grab tour but like a good sheep , i'm sure I'll go see a Bay Area date.

A friend of mine told me she went to the Doug Webb allstar show which Danny was playing at. She talked to Danny and he said no LA show but they are playing a San Diego show. This is just what she told me obviously but I don't think Danny would lie to her. So stoked to see them again. Even though there is no new material it's always good to see them live and hopefully they dust off some oldies. Get some oldies that we won't hear in the future because of new music.

I have no particular intel at this point in time, but I suspect it will be a tour which will cover both ends of the US, but probably not with the same number of shows as a proper album tour.

I have no particular intel at this point in time, but I suspect it will be a tour which will cover both ends of the US, but probably not with the same number of shows as a proper album tour. |

They left the venue right before the attacks started. Deftones had 3 shows lined up at that venue the following 3 nights after that show.
Matt Mcjunkins was the bassist for Eagles of Death Metal when the attacks started. He played bass for Puscifer on three full albums, and 4 different tours across North America. He was also part of A Perfect Circle for their latest North America tour, and appears on the Stone and Echo live DVD from Red Rocks.
This hits home for the Tool family. I wonder if this will have an effect on plans for the 2016 January mini tour, considering this happened days after the announcement.
