My god, you all are pessimistic. There's plenty of time for both. We were never "guaranteed" an album this year anyway.

Oh, the 4:00 pm start time is for the special three hour acoustic set with Maynard telling interesting stories about the song writing process.

Don't worry, the evening concert will still start about 9:00 or so.

really? Hmmm I thought they were excellent.

well except Rose..

LOL!

I will say playing an entire album in sequence is getting to be old hat. I see QOTSA has been mixing the songs a bit as they play their debut.

I really dug the 13th Step show I went to. Probably one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Though I agree...I'd really like some new material either from Tool or APC.

Stop that! :)

So stoked right now for more APC dates. The question is how many can I make? That Red Rocks show looks very tempting! And No CA on a weekend is looking like a must.

The 4pm start may be reference to more "meet/greet" packages. I would gladly do one of those again. Worth the extra $.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion

I will almost guarantee you guys the 4 p.m. thing is some auto-template/glitch that will be totally changed when info is made available.

edit: Ha, or what was said above. Be wary, those of you wanting to start up bands pushing an esoteric image, THIS is the kind of shit you're in for if you take off. Ha ha.

As killer as RR is, the Greek in Berkley is the must see stop on that tour.

Trust me.

But I hear you. I WILL see one of Tool's small theater dates if/when they do that again.

They are good, the pic is not the concert set up, just the grounds. It's 1k seats smaller than Red Rocks, and with views of the Bay and The Golden Gate, the ambiance rivals RR as well.

Plus it's not in the boonies.

or Denver.

or Colorado.

No 1: It's an old church with a HUGE fucking organ behind the stage. Vibe in spades.

Also, you can see perfectly from just about anywhere. The floor and its elasticity with a crowd is fucking terrifying though. In a good way.

reminds me of seeing Tool at the State Palace in New Orleans back in the day. The entire theater was flexing and the balcony was visibly moving up and down.

and no it was not just the shrooms..
