Shoot, I guess our dates still haven't been rescheduled- frustrating!
Our double doubles, animal style aren't going anywhere, brutha. But it seems like I might have to head to your neck of the woods for Tool and a primo T bone! :D

These shows are all pretty big venues so it shouldn't be much of a problem getting tickets, except maybe the LA dates.
I have had varying degrees of luck with TM for this tour with both phone and online. But so far, the best seats I had were waiting till after that first SD sold out, then checking back every day for several weeks. They slowly released seats back into queue and eventually I scored 8 rows from the front. Patience pays off!

spiritual3rdeye what do you know about that venue in everett i have never heard of it, and i have been to lots of concerts in the seattle area. is it small? i am so fucking exited for these shows in the washington/oregon area!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I was second in line for tickets to the New Orlenans show this morning and didn't get floor tickets. Earlier this year I was sixth in line for the Baton Rouge show and was the last person to get tickets before it sold out. The first person in line for tickets to that show was the only person to get floor tickets as well. I imagine this show sold out in similar fashion but I didn't hang around to see.

I actually gratuated from high school at the Everett Events Center. It's not a bad venue...the cool thing about it is it's pretty small...the seating capacity is somewhere around 8,000 i think. I guess this could be a bad thing though, considering it's Tool and Tool sells out in no time. I havent ever seen a concert there though.

Wait. don't they play hockey there too? I know the Silvertips play somewhere around here... and Everett isn't that big. Whatever... well I'm off with my tent to go start the waiting line for tickets outside of the Events Center, and maybe catch a hockey game. Peace.

Maybe your just going to the wrong shows. Lamb of God...GA, Skinny Puppy...GA, Alice in Chains/Velvet Revolver...GA. Now Lamb of God was anything but lame. One of the most intense crowds, and Everyone was nice...even in the pit. But skinny puppy hand down has been the best show (for me) of 2007, with 2 tool shows coming in second.
I'm so siked for the hou show. I managed to get Sec B row3 seat.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Man, I know this is probably way out of the realm of possibility, but I would love to see the Tool touring machine make one last stop in or around the North Carolina area before they take a well-deserved rest. Their show in Winston-Salem earlier this year was so fantastic. Oh well, we shall see what develops....

Yep, that's where the Silvertips play.
Do you know if we'll be able to purchase tickets from the Everett Events Center website?

Thats kinda funny, the venue you guys are talking about sounds VERY similar to the Tulsa Convention Center. The Tulsa Oilers play hockey there and it sounds to be similar in size as well the Tulsa Conv. C's maximum capacity is 8,900 seats. Its gonna be hard to get good seats!!!

Or hard to get bad seats depending on how you look at it.
And no, I'm not sure what the dilly-yo is with tickets yet. I was listening to KISW tonight on my way home and dude said Ricker would announce info on tickets tomorrow morning.

the venue seats 9000, nice place for a show, very up close and personal, which is the way Tool likes it from what I have see in the past 15 years, this one should be one to remember.
does anyone find it odd that they will be in Seattle 3 times in a year and a half? It looks to me like a fairwell tour and they will call it quits after this tour is over. any thoughts????

Oh, and tix go on sale for the latest bunch of dates on 10/13/07, should be around 50 bones or so, probably at 10:00 am BE THERE OR BE GAY!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
For the Everett, Wa show...
Does anyone know yet if tickets will be available online through the venue's website (http://www.comcastarenaeverett.com/) or will they only be available at the door to the venue on the 13th?
I'm almost certain they won't be showing up on ticketmaster.

No, probably because they have such an extensive stage set up, production crew to keep it going, and some of the best guys in the buisness working for them, they'd like to make a few coins too! Think about it, the label gets most of the money off CD's, Tool hates the label for what they are, and all the money they put into the show for the fans adds up!
I really love that they arent going through Ticketmaster for some shows they dont have to, it shows they still (semi) like us people! I just wish Pearl Jam kept good on thier part...It does have that farewell vibe at the end of shows though with the hug and extended stay... :(

So it appears there wont be any upcoming show threads as there has been previously...any thoughts? ---also it would be sweet if they just let their balls hang this round and go out hard ! --i'm wondering if Maynard took it easy on his vocal chords due to laying down tracks for Puscifer during the tour?

I think the lack of show threads is because of Paraflux leaving the forums. Maybe Swaps will hook it up.
You know how shitty it would be if Maynard held back becasue of Puscifer?

lol, but i'm sure he's done laying down the tracks as of now... i mean it comes out oct. 30th! so hopefully this last part of the tour he'll be going full force.

you obviously didnt have to deal with tickets west... which was doing the CO springs show in may... 10x worse than ticketmaster. yeah. ticketmaster sucks balls. but unless the band releases its own ticket dispensing service, it is the best way to get tickets for the shows. tool is to popular to use any other service... other services dont have the server capacity

You are very correct, but I saw Deftones perform "Passenger" in June in SLC and Chino did an amazing job filling in Maynard's parts. It really wouldnt have been THAT much better if it were Maynard himself, and thats saying a lot coming from me....

This is most likely not a farewell. If you look at past concert reviews especially the Lateralus tours Tool is pretty much doing the same thing, except Tool came to Seattle more during the Lateralus tours.
