Feel free to discuss your brooding excitement. A new thread will be opened (post performance) for reviews ONLY.

I, for one, am STOKED that it's not GA on the floor. I try to not get floor tickets to Tool anymore as it's almost always on a weekday so I don't get to St. Paul in time to get a good spot in line, and being that I'm so small of a human being, I naturally always find myself surround by very large (both tall and wide) people at any show I go to, although both times I allowed myself to be on the floor I spent the entire show against the barricade anyway so I shouldn't complain. But this is where I gloat because I managed to get front row center (*squeal*), so I'm THRILLED.

Is it safe to assume that the Red Rocks shows will feature different setlists than what we've become accustomed to?
I've seen Tool about 10 times now, and there's still a long list of songs I've never heard live. Thirdeye, Pushit, Hooker with a penis, 4 degrees, intolerance... the list goes on.
This is my 70th TOOL show. The last one was at PNC Pavilion in Cinci and that was amazing. We are driving in from Detroit and are always looking for fellow TOOL fans to hang out and socialize before, during and after the concert. Feel free to message us or email us at [email protected].
By the way, congrats skeeter. I will buy you a beer for you and your spouse.
God damn Minnesota, we're not that boring. Lets kick some life into this thread!
Where's everyone's seats? I got first row tickets on the lower level. Gonna be my first time seeing them and I'm stoked. I hope they mix the setlist up a little more this go around.

hopefully the set list from last night wiil breathe a little life in this thread....
coming over from WI and am staying in the holiday inn right across the street... whats going on with everybody else?!
My friend and I are driving from NE Ohio to see this show...its almost 800 miles away, but our 11th row tickets make up for it. We're on Justin's side too...bass in your face all night long!
Did anyone else pop a boner (literal or metaphorical) after seeing New Orleans set list?
you guys can all thank me for not buying tickets to this show... surely if i had, it would be the 10K days setlist again.
:headdesk:
keep checking TM if you still don't have any. Around 3pm today (Thursday), I was pulling up to 8 together section 104 row 7 and 10! I was happy to get them in row 19, but now see I should've waited a bit more. Good luck.
6 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!! Gonna be my third time seeing them and from the looks of the reviews/setlist/youtube videos..... this one is going to be the best!!!!

Today has finally arrived!! Driving about 3 hours from rural MN to see TOOL again. Staying at the Holiday Inn & plan on hitting up the bars on W7th for some good eats before the show and some good drinks after the show.
Good times, indeed!

Third Eye
Jambi
Stinkfist
Vicarious
Eon Blue Apocalypse
The Patient
Intolerance
Schism
46&2
Lateralus
Aenema
This will be my last Tool show.
Show was decent.. lighting was phenomenal, but at this point it really just feels like they're going through the motions. Sure, it's great to hear Third Eye and Intolerance, but everything else has been hashed and re-hashed a million times over. If you're only going to play nine songs, have some fucking variety for christ's sakes.
Adam fucked up the beginning of 46 & 2 pretty badly, but they all pulled it together going into the verse.
I thought it was a fucking phenomenal show. Was expecting Intension & Right In Two but apparently those were special exclusives for Red Rocks night dos. Oh well, no complaints from me.
I'm pretty tired so I'll post in the review thread tomorrow. The whole band sounded tight though, and I was ESPECIALLY impressed with how fantastic Maynard sang from beginning to end. I can't understand where someone gets the impression they were going through the motions after a performance like that. Maybe you have just seen them so many times that your expectations cannot be satisfied anymore.
Also, Third Eye was incredible.
