Oh...how I yearn for 10 000 Days...

Kinda funny
Yeah I saw that :)
His comments were funny from the MN show, about the screaming. I love when he talks to the crowd. My friends that don't listen Tool think he's a freak, but he's really funny.

I've found that he's become more comical in recent years. I remember some shows from the Aenema tour and Lateralus tours where he was entirely serious, with a couple of exceptions. Lately, he seems to find the humour in everything (even going so far as to make sarcastic remarks when he was hit in the head with a water bottle). I suspect it's a symptom of his getting older (or maybe of being a vineyard owner).

Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
jayde - who is singing for AIC now?
PRIMUS SUCKS ... PRIMUS SUCKS ... PRIMUS SUCKS
systematic - another familiar face (or should I say name), your added, nice to c your makin' the show - enjoy
I'll b on the lawns (fingers crossed for 'NO Rain') w/ some free printed-up seating plans
Any one w/ meet-up ideas? I'd think on site would b easier
sianspheric - When I first heard 10,000 days - 'Right in Two' didn't really appeal 2 me. Now it's one of the top tracks. They did it at the HBrd so I'll take 10,000 days
Now if they'd only have some crazy/twisted energy goin' that day and decide to add: 'The Grudge', 'Parabola' & 'Hooker' - I'd eat my hat, drop: 'Schism' & 'The Pot'
Beyonce is one fine lady (w/ one helluva set of lungs)
3 more shows to go - then the AMP!!!

Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
I'd love to hear Eulogy, but I know what a long shot that is.
Ohhh I can't wait! I'm more excited for this show than for the Detroit show, for some reason. I've never been to this venue and Toronto is my favorite city.
I've read that people really like this ampitheatre, so the sound is good? Any complaints?
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Capt. Sith Park, thanks for the add to the seating chart! I think it would be awesome if a group of us met up again like before. However I dont think theres many places at the AMP to really meet up. But thats only my opinion. Any way, FOUR DAYS!!!!! and I can't wait. An now that Maynard is back to his regular healthy self this show is going to be incredable, cant wait!!

i've been there twice and I really like the venue. I can't think of anything to complain about.
I am now starting to get scared....tool has cancelled another show, this is too close to the 23rd....come on maynard, get better real soon!

I also hope they give notice if they cancel. I'm flying in on friday for the detroit show then driving to toronto on sat. for the molson show-from california. so i'll be pretty pissed off if the cancel the day of the show. but then again, we've all been sick and know that you can't predict when you're gonna feel better or worse. let's just hope for good luck.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
wings/days would be awesome, but i'd easily take the following song(s) over that one:
Third Eye
Eulogy
Pushit
etc...
Just imagine how amazing (though it won't happen) it would be if the lights dropped and all you heard was Adam picking behind the bridge, the start to Eulogy. The crowd would explode. Or, in the same case, if just Adam walked out on stage and started the intro to Pushit - by adding some older/harder(?) songs they could make these shows absolutely amazing.
I'm sure the show Saturday would be great, I just really, really want to see some of the older songs live and I fear I never will. I really think they should scrap stinkfist and 46&2 for Eulogy and/or Pushit; just to mix it up....

This common complaint truly makes me wonder. Tool is not a sell out band by any stretch of the imagination -- but why do they only play their singles? Every tool fan wants to hear great songs like Pushit, Eulogy, No Quarter cover, Jimmy etc.. but instead we get Aenema and Stinkfist. Nothing against those songs, but we've heard them at every concert. Something "not expected" would be amazing.
So my question is -- Why? I think this would add a huge element to their show.

Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
i think the reason why maynard doesn't play no quarter, third eye and all those other longer songs is the fact that his throat can't really take it, i mean he plays none of those songs right now and after every song you see him drinking water plus you see him getting sick a lot aswell, this year alone maynard has been sick a couple of times and the songs they play are awesome but i think it's easier to sing the songs they are choosing now, but i am just a guitar player so that would be my best guess, for third eye during the lateralus tour maynard had that megaphone for some of the parts in the song, during the aenima tour all maynard was using where 2 microphones, even last year i think he couldn't pull it off. He is getting a little older and his voice isn't where it is even if they did play those songs mentioned i really do think it wouldn't be nearly as good as we would like it to be or as good as maynard would like it to be.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
The forecast for rain on Saturday has now changed to sunny with scattered showers! Yay! That could still change before then, but right now it looks good.
On that note, wouldn't it be wonderful to have a pair of lawns for a Tool concert with a bright beautiful warm sunset? I think so. And in that regard...
Selling a pair of lawns. Face value ($118.50) Please PM me if interested.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Me and 11 of my friends will be on the lawns... prayin for the rain to hold off... prayin even harder that Maynard's feeling better in time to give a bigtime performance.
See ya on the lawns!

Maybe I'm on crack, but I'm pretty sure that it's not Adam picking anything, rather Danny on his mandalas.

Damn about another show cancelled, I hope it's all good for Saturday. I'd be really sad if it got cancelled and especially if it didn't get rescheduled :( I hope all is good and I'm excited!
Also I've been to the ampitheatre before it is quite good, no complaints indeed.

If anyone is close to a computer tonight check tune into 101 WRIF Detroit's Rock Radio station http://www.wrif.com/. The DJ said they will have Justin calling in at some point to talk. The Detroit show is supposed to be on Friday, the night before the Toronto show. Hopefully he has some good news. Cross our fingers.

Jayde, what is the source of this info, I just don't want everyone to panic, reading the various threads, there are now too many reasons flying around as to the Madison cancellation. Let' s not panic...
