Silence At The End and CD Players

Hi,
At the end of Triad, depending on the CD player, you get a load of silence, how is this? Some CD players skip it and move on to Faaip, others play it all, the lossless encoded version on my PC causes the player's timer to start counting really slowly.
Did they do something to the CD to cause this?

Re: Silence At The End and CD Players

I read that originally Disposition, Reflection, and Triad were going to be one 23 minute track, 23 being a number with some sort of occult significance. Since they separated the three into separate tracks, the times should still add up to 23 right? Well, they end up totaling more than 23 minutes. I haven't tested the theory but maybe the pause makes up for the difference and the actual time of music playing equates to 23.

Yes. The gap that you usually hear (actually, should hear) is a pregap. Some players choose to append it to the end of the track or the beginning of the next track, and some choose to skip it entirely.

I think that silence represents the void.
