i couldn't enjoy the whole thing if i wasn't sure... (didn't listen yet)
can't somebody who joined one of these listening parties just confirm it's real and final?

I don't think that's what he's asking about. He's asking if this is the final mix.
You know, like how Radiohead's "Hail To The Thief" record leaked, but the leaked version is different from the final version (mixing/mastering/adding sounds, etc.).
It is true that we don't know for sure, but the aforementioned tape hiss is present, so I'm going to go with a "no."

i think the suckiness of this leak has solely to do with the fact that its a fucking 192 kbps mp3, further compressed into a .rar file

Mine is not an mp3, its a .m4a.... Its possible that mine is the original, and it was then transcoded to mp3 before you downloaded it.
If it went then other way then mine is worse quality that yours. I can hear some mondo compression artifacts on Wings...
