My opinion

Right, I think this video is made to visionalise the entire album. The person in the video learns to progress through different things. i.e the small figure dying, cutting the figure in two, looking through the window, wandering through the forest. All this is basiclly what Tool is trying to let us see. Use the video and personalise it. After thinking about the personal angle, think about the lessons you can learn and express through out the art of it.

But then again, its a main belife that this is mainly the whole purpose of Tool.

What does anyone think?

I can see that this video could possibly tie in with the overall meaning of Lateralus, but I have been wrong before. None the less I like your observance of the link between the video and breaking down the meaning of the album.
