Mine would be after "chasing the trail of smoke and reason".. and the music kicks in, very nice amped up psychadelic feel, Adam did well.

right after "chasing the tail of dogma" very enveloping
Definitely. The "I opened my eyes" part.

'I opened my eye; I opened my eye; I opened my eye and there we were', definitely. It actually took me about 10 plays in order for me to get a feel for this song - it's my favourite song on this CD by far.
I can't really pick a favourite part as I love the whole song so much, but one that is definitely mentioned is the "Shrouding all the ground around me"
One of the very best lyrics I've heard is there - "Black as holes within a memory" man, that is incredible.

followed by, "blue as our new second sun" / "blue as the sight of our second sun" - chilling
anyone know what he's referring to? the moon is about all i can come up with on this one.

Absolutely. That is a tremendous lyric.
It took me two whole years of owning and listening to this album before Third Eye 'clicked' with me. Now i consider it to be their finest piece. Despite every avenue they've explored musically to date, i still feel this piece stands out like a sore thumb.
Anyways, my favourite part, like others is the 'opened my eye.....there we were', although one part i love is immediately after the first round of 'prying open my third eye', Danny absolutely THUMPS the toms in one beat.
That one thump is like a slap in the face to bring you to, and to say 'hey, this song is by no means finished, no sir'
"So good to see you once again I thought that you were hiding from me. And you thought that I had run away. Chasing a trail of smoke and reason."..........man this just makes me want to take some acid again or something.........
Shrouding all the ground around me
Is this holy crow above me
Black as holes within a memory
And blue as our new second sun
I stick my hand into his shadow
To pull the pieces from the sand
Which I attempt to reassemble
To see just who I might have been
I do not recognize the vessel,
But the eyes seem so familiar
Like phosphorescent desert buttons
Singing one familiar song
I popped Aenima into my stereo today, cranked up the volume and rocked out. Third eye is a f'ing awesome track with so many key parts. I'm still hearing new things in the music even after having the CD for more than a decade. It f'ing rocks!
My favorite part is 7:48 - 9:41... it's dark, trippy and mind blowing!!! I've got chills from it... And also fuckin' great is that part after this one, after last "Prying open my third eye" and especially great in Third eye live from salival...
