BTW he confirms the Paul posts on Tool Army as to being real. And it doesn't sound like he's losing his job, just the label are pretty pissed with him.

What else can you tell us? What is he saying about the interview? Are the band pissed with him?

The clues for the new album title are hidden in the Lateralus booklet.

Tool Review (potential spoilers)
Don't hate me...but I was there (for the 7.30 one) thanks to my friend and "associate" Andy - and his review is for real. The album sounds immense. No I didn't 'get it' all in one sitting but I know how much I already love it, and can only love it more with repeated listening.

I know it's a playback - so it was going to be loud, but it's probably the "loudest" sounding Tool album I've heard. Guitars to the fore, Maynard's voice surprisingly 'in the mix' at certain times, Danny's drumming / tabla(?) playing sounding as amazing as ever and some of Justin's basslines are incredible. It's the next stage in Tool's evolution and it doesn't disappoint.

Sorry to sound like I'm rubbing it in - I was incredibly privileged to be there and want to pass on my enthusiasim, but just hate the fact that I now have to wait weeks and weeks to hear it again... : )

I also met Danny for the first time and he's is one of the nicest and most easy going people I've ever met (not even "musician"). Justin and brother Jim were there too and were very welcoming / friendly. Thanks guys.

Other things Andy's review didn't mention - the sampled thunder/rainstorm (can't recall which track sorry) and Adam (I presume) playing a voicebox(?) at one point (see: Peter Frampton).

Truly amazing.

Paul

It's true. I didn't hear the first playback (I was f'king lucky to get into either) but Maynard certainly introduced the second one but didn't hang about to listen through again. But Danny and Justin did. I don't know what to say to make you believe or why I care if you do or not...
Whatever... I know what I heard and I know it's for real.

A Frampton-esque voicebox? I don't know how I feel about that. I need to stop reading these.
