I believe AEnema would be a pretty amazing closer.
Both times I've seen Tool they have closed with Vicarious. I honestly loved Vicarious as a closer, it rocked. Lateralus (extended with the drum-off) is just so mind blowing, epic, and long. A song like Vicarious right after it fit really well for me.

Are you kidding? The high I get from Lateralus is simply breathtaking.
I hate when it ends when they play another song after it.
Yeah, exactly how I feel. After "10,000 Days", "Lateralus" is the perfect song to break the emotional tension. It also really just ends the show perfectly. After "Lateralus" you feel completed and happy, then "Vicarious" kind or breaks that emotion. Though I agree with another post that "Ænema" (or "Opiate") right before "Lateralus" is good too.

Part of ME
Sober (or swamp song)
Stinkfist
46&2
H.
The Pot
Jerk off (extended)
Pushit
---break---
Grudge (or Vicarious)
Parabola
FLooD(or Aenima)
Lateralus
And honestly this would work out with the amount of songs they have been playing lately and the time of each concert. Plus *** this would be a very interesting and "Fun" concert to see! Anyone else agree with me? I know there are some songs left off this list like (the Patient, 10000 days, 4 degrees, Opiate) but they will never play these all in one show.

i like how how use used the words 'probably more likely' that's quite funny. I don't think eulogy has been played since the aenima tour.

Hell of a setlist at that show, "Eulogy" and "Pushit" in the same set!
This was the amazing setlist when they did the mini tour w/King Crimson. It was the first of 2 shows in Seattle. August 6 2001:
- The Grudge
- Stinkfist
- 46&2
- Parabola
- Schism
- Eulogy
- Disposition/Reflection
my mistake. i'd be shocked if they played that song again given how badly maynard sings the very last line live

Hmm, its 'only' 70 € , if you work like 2 days in a Bar or something you could afford it.
Plus keep in mind this is a once in a lifetime experience : NIN + TOOL in ONE night !!!
I can't really afford you a ticket- I am coming from LA with my wife! The dollars have already flown out of my pocket. But if you do come, I am at least good to buy you a beer and say hello. :)
Psychological setlist, considering that the more we ask them different songs, the more they seem to deny them.
So...
READ TOOL, THIS IS MY IDEAL SETLIST:
JAMBI
STINKFIST (EXT.)
46 & 2 (with fundamental electronic introduction)
SCHISM (EXT.)
LOST KEYS/ROSETTA STONED
FLOOD
RIGHT IN TWO
LATERALUS (ext., each night w/ special guest a different drummer from the bands of the festivals)
VICARIOUS (don't forget the intro)
You can exchange Right in Two with the Wings, of course. Or add the Pot OR Aenema (not the both).
Please don't play: The Grudge, Intension (with vocals), Parabola, H., Eulogy, Prison Sex, Part of Me, The Patient, Third Eye, Jimmy...etc. cause no one likes them songs.
Obviously, we would favor Maynard singing without showing his face to the crowd. We like his back.

I love the band, but yeah, I feel your frustration.

I can't really get with that sentiment. I want the band to do what THEY what to do. Whatever they feel passionate about right now.
I know the feeling of wanting certain songs, but one thing Tool has done so well throughout their careeer is doing things their way. Without that, it would lose something for me.
And one thing I have noticed- the songs on this tour that are being done most every night are close to perfect. Maybe that's what they are shooting for. Fine by me.
I don't ask for a radical change. I don't ask them not to play the songs from 10,000 Days which are great. But... aren't they tired to play the same setlist (or so) each night? Look at the old setlists back in 2001 and 2002... they had visuals and videos behind them, but they used to change at least a couple of songs from gig to gig.
I've seen them 4 times in 2006 (Roma, Bologna, Firenze, Rimini), and I'm going to see them other 2 times this summer (Frankfurt and Bologna)... I've seen almost the same concert in 4 times. I just hope the only different song I've haven't seen is going to be Flood. That would be very disappointing, also because this could be the last chance for us, european people, to see the band.
Parabol (NO light)
Parabola (an explosion of light)
Sober
Vicarious
Stinkfist
The Pot
Schism
Rosetta Stoned
46&2
Jambi
Third Eye/Pushit (swapped out from time to time)
Opiate
AEnima
Wings/10,000 Days
Encore
Right In Two
Laturalus
schism could get changed with euolgy or the grudge from time to time though ***
I AGREE, THEY HAVE TO CHANGE SCHISM WITH EULOGY OR GRUDGE, ....THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!
perfect setlist (while including all the songs that i personally haven't heard live but want to badly):
stinkfist extended
the grudge
vicarious
pushit normal
the pot
46 and 2
jambi
schism extended
lost keys + rosetta stoned
parabol/parabola (with an intense drum solo at the end)
sober (with a sweet guest guitar solo)
lateralus
aenema
Followed by Triad with Dave Lombardo & Ozzy's drummer as extra drummers.....
For that matter, I'd love to hear "Triad" again. It doesn't seem unreasonable that they could play it. For one, Maynard doesn't need to sing (strain his voice) and two, it's a good song to bring out special guests on percussion and keyboards like they've been doing on "Lateralus".

Sober (Start the show with Maynard in Blue Man Gear with Camera shot of his face and a single white light on him with him doing very intense movements aka I'm on acid stuff)
(for 4 minutes strait the stage is black with no sound at all. Then........ )
Jambi (it goes back to the usual Tool setup)
Stinkfist (ext)
The Grudge
Parabol
Parabola
Eulogy
Pushit
Tick and Leeches
Prison Sex (but like new version of it like they did with pushit. I'm seeing making it hard as fuck or slow as fuck. Or even the regular version would be cool. I know i'm asking for a lot.)
Third Eye (with Frickin Lasers)
Lateralus (with Tom Morello solo)
Vicarious
Aenima
Encore:
Opiate
Jimmy
On another note, I would Definately like to see the best duet in my book performed. I'm tal bout Passenger. Possibly put that in an encore from time to time. Anyways this is like my first post and the list will prolly change slighty. But in all seriousness, this would be the concert that would make my wang grow a couple more inches. Hell, I'd even be happy if I just got to see a live DVD of this.
