Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
yes this is extremely interesting. the second half of those dates that are posted not only are in the same ORDER and have the same LOCATIONS as the fall 2002 tour, but they have the same DATES OF THE MONTH, with the month changed. draw your own conclusions.

This is a good indication that the list is bogus, aside from standing observations.
The Oak Mountain Amphitheater, in Pelham (just south of Birmingham) has been known as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for a looooooong time. No current itenerary would use that name.

Supposedly a radio station here in Tucson AZ has CONFIRMED a TOOL date, which is not listed on the large list posted in this thread, the list people are calling 'bogus,' so this date may have some relevance. The radio station reported that TOOL was playing at the Tucson Convention Center on March 21st. I called shortly after and the DJ said it was a whole tour, and they would also be playing in Phoenix.

...but I wouldn't be suprised if you are correct. It looks almost identical to their 2002 Fall US Tour.
Hell yah man. I had tickets to the Wisconsin show...that was a bitch that they cancelled the show, the day of the show, at like noon. I got to see em in minneapolis twice though :)

Concerning the Tucson show.. Tool did play there a few years ago and if fuckin rocked, it was the best show I saw on the lateralus tour becuase the venue is so much smaller then a normal arena, tight sound and a great set last time.. Remember when tomahawk threw the pigs head in the crowd?? hehehehe.. that was good times my friends, good times

glad to see someone else noticed this as well. I hate when people post fake shit especially when it can be debunked by a few simple mouse-clicks.

Big Day Out - Auckland 19 Jan 2007 - Not the best TOOL concert I've ever been too but definitely the best set (play list) I've ever seen/heard them do. Maynard said "see you in december" and being a man of his word, expect to see them in Akl, Syd and Mlb in 9 months.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
hey guys
Tool at Big Day Out NZ were amazing... Hope most of you guys make it when it comes your ways!
Still getting goosebumps just thinking about it!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
i love the fact that they already changed the setlist in the first two shows...first show they played Rosetta Stoned, then in the Gold Coast one they played Opiate...I hope they have more changes in store for the state shows...I would love to hear some more off Lateralus.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Yeah, it's good to have Opiate back in the set again. I also hope they play something more off of Lateralus like Parabola (hopefully with Parabol...but you know) or put Eon Blue Apocalypse/The Patient back into the set. I would think that with the two non-BDO shows they will play close to 2 hours without time constraints. Though this will probably just get the Aussies Wings 1 + 2 with the usual setlists that we've already seen.

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
It seems like the dates are facusing more down south. I'm gonna be bummed if they don't come any farther north than Sioux Falls. Plus, look at all the major metro areas the list is skipping over in favor of podunk towns.

So, yeah, there's been a few dates popping up for the US tour, mostly announced by radio stations. Many of these dates go on sale this Saturday. I'm gonna be slightly upset if dates in LA, MS, AL, GA, or FL happen to go on sale on this same day. It would be really convenient to know where they are going to be playing so I could at least be prepared to buy my tickets on Saturday. You know, like a week in advance, isn't that much to ask before the onsale date.
Where the fuck is Tool's announcement? Do they just not care since they are on the other side of the world?
