Re: Which band do you want to open for Tool this upcoming fall tour?
I saw Tool in a small theater setting (Chicago AuditoriumTheater) right after 10,000 Days was released. I wonder if they'll do this again? It was so intimate and comfortable! The seats are red velvet with nice cushiony feel.

That's so cool, I would love to hear Danny's kit in a theatre, I'm sure it sounded unbelievable.
I saw them in June 2006 at the Download Festival, a very different vibe. I'd love to see them from a nice comfy seat.
How did you like sitting for Tool? I used to think it would kill the mood but now I love the idea of sitting back and taking in the visuals and chilling out.

In a small setting I was immersed and enveloped by the music.....the whole theater, the people in it....the lights and the music, we (it) all became one. We were transported to another dimension for 90 minutes. That show is now a part of me and I feel very blessed to have been a part of it.

I was incredibly lucky to see one of the first 3 (theater setting) shows to kick off the 10,000 Days tour.
Yep, my wife and I saw them at The Gammage in Tempe during that auditorium mini tour. One of the top 2 Tool shows I've been to.

I'm not sure there's a million bands
To the point:
Maybe the Bright Light Social Hour, what else, I imagine APC would be cool
Not too worried about what band as long as no bullshit shady opens
Ideas off the top of my head here
I'm out, thanks for all the concerts I've been to you all.
One day it would nice to meet these dudes just without the other distractions and daily things that eat the free time, like other most interesting things to me.
Cheers

Does Tool still not allow cameras/recorders for their 2022 tour?
Usually I see it printed on the ticket, as well as on the official TicketMaster page for that show.
But I don't see it this time.
As for the OP, how about what's left of Rush (with a new drummer)? Since they don't want to do long setlists anymore, this would be a good way to still provide live music, in a scaled down form?
Primus?
Toadies?
Also, how can I post show recaps? It says I don't have permission, directly under Live Discussion.
