when i click change avatar i get the "thank you for updating" page. i dont see any place to add or change an avatar.

what's the deal?

when you choose an avatar, it is hosted on the tdn server, which we are lucky enough to have donated; same goes for space and bandwidth.

that said, we don't want to impose by allowing the Opinion section to host hundreds of avatars, which would use space and bandwidth.

I think having an avatar also elongates the space for the message and could be a real bothersome thing. I don't think it is relevant. I wouldn't want this board to be all crudded up with lame ass animated pictures of tool stuff. Let's focus on ideas and less on irrelevant cosmetic features...
