The user's IP address accompanies every one of his or her posts. Not only is this a security risk (for some users), it is standard practice on every web forum for the IP's to only be available to moderators. The IP's can then be used to ban users from the forum (if necessary).

Personally, I think they should be hidden from the "regular" users.
