I saw tool in vegas in 2001 (i think) and this song kinda reminds me of Maynard's strip tease during the concert. By the end of the concert he was in a bra and panties. If we are going think of Forty-six & 2 being chromosomes, then maybe Maynard's talking about a man living inside a woman's body. I like to refer them as SHIMS ( He-she's). Maybe not Maynard so much but just the topic of turmoil that a man goes through. A woman living inside a man's body?
