Link your fav. Art(ist) Site(s)

I just thought to make a simple Thread about 'Art Links'.

Link here all the 'Art' site you like.

I'll start!

http://www.spiraleyes.com
http://www.toology.com/
http://www.alexgrey.com/
http://www.happypencil.com/
http://www.alchemicalwedding.com/

These are just 5, I want your opinion about these links and, of course, your own link(s) to 'Art' sites you love!

some seriously cool stuff at that site.
Since Happy Pencil and Alex Grey are already on Tool's recommended sites, I've been to those (they're both really cool).

I liked a lot of Daniel Ouellette's drawings, different, but cool none-the-less. I tend to get into experimental art.. semi-abstract mostly. If I remember any other good sites, I'll post them up, for sure.

. . o O o . .

That one is complimentary of my shit-fetish co-worker. Yes folks, shit is art to some people. No, I'm not one of them.

I guess I'm not too much of an artist if I don't have a catalog of art sites to visit.

I'm an old sci-fi reader and some of the artwork by these two gents is all too good, imho:

Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo

Frazetta did some artwork for the John Carter of Mars series as well as for Conan books. I think both have shown up in the mags like Heavy Metal.

Speaking of Heavy Metal I do dig Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri's "Druuna"artwork. It's all about teenage woodies and exaggerated anatomy, my friends. I'd love to frame my place with their artwork.

While digging through Tool's site I found Stanislav Szukalski stuff which gets me itching to sculpt and cast.

What this guy does is a childhood dream: Randy Bowen designs. An acquaintance of mine knows Randy pretty well and they kick back in Randy's big rec room and watch sporting events in surround sound or play console video games, shoot pool, pour drinks from a full stocked bar, and listen to music on a good sound system. And when he's not partying he's sculpting...and making money off of it. Yeah, I wouldn't mind sculpting my childhood superheros for a living.

Depending on what you call art, there's blacksmithing (random link). Specifically swords. I know nothing about it but there's something about the concept that fascinates me.

Oh, and finally these guys are fairly cool, too: Teh W0ah

M.C. Escher has those impossible drawings.

Elfwood: some cool fantasy art.

And for desktop wallpapers...Digital Blasphemy.

I emailed my brother the Frank Frazetta link. This was a true B-i-t-day find, as my brother idolized his work. It has been years since I heard that name, or looked at some of his stuff.
For myself I will post 2 links.
I purchased the THOTH tarot deck 8 months ago and have used it exclusively. But I frankly do not appreciate Ms Harris artwork. I've tried but it does not work for me…Check out Carl Rohrigs art/deck-www.themysticeye.com/pics/rohrig.htmHis modern take on the Thoth deck is powerful and sensual. Some female users w/ a femanazi streak are offended by the use of breast imagery. Being of the female persuasion myself, I don't find that to be a problem. The breast is a powerful symbol. Sustenance, satiety, etc. Not just to sell cars : ) I love the artwork in this deck.
Robert Owen paints clowns. I own one of his prints that has clown heads, one on top of the other, that is both playful and macabre. A juxtaposition that is difficult to achieve. If you are fascinated by clowns--www.robertowen.com
Edit__Though Ansel Adams did not become a household name till very late in his career, one can never become blasé about his work. (at least I can't) At a special museum exhibition in Washington D.C. commemorating his work, they had one of my favorites blown up to 20 ft long. (had to view in stages!) Anyway only after seeing this huge Moonrise - Hernandez NM did I notice details. The Moonrise is over a graveyard.

The "abstract" wallpapers are the best I've found on the 'net. And of course there's tons of other stuff.

I just found this... somewhat crazy site.
It's pretty cool though.

P.S. You can see what everything means by stand on it with your cursor and look at the left-bottom from your internet paige.
