Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
I would love some nostalga. I really would. Especially since i have never heard Flood live, and have seen the band about 20 times. But RI2 is a damn good song.
EITHER WAY, i can't fucking wait to hear the opening riffs to Jambi.
(unless they surprise everyone and open with Flood)
Grudge anyone? They have sound checked it a few times apparently
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
The Grudge would be so fucking awesome, though I have already seen it
I am still hoping against hope that I will see Flood.
Anyone trying to meet up down at the show, I am making a whole day out of this. I am leaving in about an hour an hour, around 12:30, to go do nefarious things on the boardwalk and hopefully catch the soundcheck. Fingers crossed I am there early enough or just even in the right place to catch someone in the band for an autograph. Purple sharpies everyone.
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
im probably going to get to AC around 6. Anyone know what the deal is with parking? where is the cheapest place etc. Any tailgating going on? I'm going alone so it would be cool to meet up with someone and hang out until the show.
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
WOW fucking amazing..I would have to say we hd the best damn show on the tour so far..I guess the four day rest and the pasta at the borgata made that kickass playlist for today... the lighting effect was amazing and they preformed amazing.

Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
lateralus was the highlight of the evening. they brought on extra drums like three songs earlier and i was wondering what they were for. i was glad they did something different. and the $10 poster was cool too.
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
when I saw the extra drums I got so fucking exited I thought they were gonna do smething like reflection into triad or something but the extended lataralus was amazing...but those fucking lights during wings for marie and 10,000 days were so cool..they didn't really need the smoke machines being it as already smoked up

"Stinkfist" was NOT the OTRM version. They played the album version (NOT extended.)

I have to assume "Urgent" is just a gag because it would be REAL strange it they covered a "Foreigner" song.
It is just a name for one of their spacey interlude segues. Another show's setlist had that spot named "Rawhide".

True, the other was called "Paradise at the Dashboard Light" or something like that, but didn't they play that "spacey interlude" before "Right In Two" as per the set list?

They have a few different interludes, I would assume.

I was holding a lot of stuff (wallet, camera, cell phone, car keys, ear plugs, and ticket) so I purposefully used everything to cover up the camera.
As for getting a picture of the drumset, I was in section 7 which was at the very back of the floor (on a slight incline). This picture (containing the drumset) was taken using the full 10x zoom of my camera so it's as close as I could go:

I don't know what was up with security but I asked about 5 different ushers or w/e where my seats were and they just pointed in a general direction... I got pissed b/c I couldn't find them so I just walked onto the floor and was there for the entire show. *shrugs*

Yea, seriously. In our section I think they pulled some homeless lady from the street and gave her a flashlight. Didn't have a very good experience getting to the venue, but the show was incredible.
Another negative: What's the deal with so many people getting up and down during the concert? One lady sitting in front of us went and got a pretzel like it was a flippin' baseball game.
Positives: There are definitely some great restaurants in the mall across from Caesar's. And, some very attractive female TOOL fans in Jersey.
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
Yeah apparently a bridge was down or something on the way from our hotel to the venue and I ended missing Jambi and half of Stinkfist. I was fucking pissed. Then my flip flop broke and I had to walk barefoot gahh!! hahaha whatta mess
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
Okay, so what's with the Saturn return animation during "Rosetta Stoned"? I'm still trying to figure it out (and clearly looking for help.)
I know that 10000 days is roughly the time cycle of the Saturn return, but I'm still lost as to what to make of it from there.
Also I'm trying to sort out the clip of the couple in faux-69 during "Right in Two" (I say that because they weren't engaging in oral sex nor were they in the 69 position, it was more like a two-human pretzel.) I hear "Cutting our love right in two" during the chorus and that seems to go with the little video clip of that guy and that girl. But still something's nagging me, something keeps telling me that's not what the lyrics are...

Saturn orbits the Sun every 29 years or so. 10,000 days is roughly 27.3 years. At first I thought the same thing and thought "The Grudge" somehow played into the "10,000 Days" idea but it's off by two years.

That's Portuguese slang, though "chupa" is the same in Portuguese as it is in "Spanish" meaning "suck" so I'm sure you can get a rough idea what he's saying.
