I might have 1 extra ticket to the Atlantic City show if anyone was looking. My friend was supposed to go with me but he might be deployed overseas within the next 2 weeks. =(
My tickets are in Section 2 Row 1 which is front row dead center on the floor.
May I ask, how did you get such a great ticket? Is there a way to get great seats that you recommend? Ticketmaster online does not work well for me.

I know that I might be frown upon, but I won the ticketmaster auction for the 2 front row tickets.
Being able to actually see Maynard is amazing.
I won the same front row ticketmaster auction for the East Rutherford show as I'm winning for the PNC show. My only problem is that I don't have anyone to go to the PNC show and will offer up my other front row ticket for exactly what I paid for have to put it up on eBay. >=/

Thanks for the reply.
I am going to PNC with some people I know, so I can't take you up on the offer. Although, it would be nice to see Tool up front for once.

Anyone seen a show in this venue? Looks interesting from the pictures.
Yeah, I've been to a lot of boxing fights there and its actually an old looking venue. It isn't a full complete arena as its missing seats on one end where there is a huge wall placed. I'm not too sure how the acoustics would be in the venue though.
Anyone up for meeting up, gambling, drinking, or whatever?
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
Does anyone know the set list they will be playing?

More like the same exact show from the Tweeter Center last fall....but pull a switch-eroonie with the Jambi opener, and play a song they should be playing every show this tour, RI2.
But who's counting, it's TooL on a Saturday night in AC. Sounds like fun to me!
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
It's nice to see they'll actually be other people in my age group around Atlantic City that weekend. Gotta watch out for the crazy old ladies most of the time.

Going by the last 4 shows or so, I'd say we're not going to get both. I haven't really figured out if there's a pattern to why they do or do not play those songs to close the show. It's definitely not because of Danny's injury (TOOL would not be touring at all if that were the case). I also know most venues require concerts to be over by 11, but TOOL has pretty much been going by the 2 hour format the entire tour, whether they add on the last 1 or 2 songs or not. I've posted this before, but it seems to me that TOOL has decided to jam more on stage and extend most of the songs. I guess they feel like if that means they have to sacrifice one song or another, so be it. TOOL is such a frustrating band to follow, because there never really seems like there is a method to what they do. I guess that's why a lot of us are drawn to them.

That makes no sense though. I saw them at the New York City Center (2006) and Continental Airlines Arena (2006), and they played Vicarious and closed out with Aenema. They even played Wings for Marie/10,000 Days and Lateralus. Rosetta Stoned was the opener and Jambi was part of the set list too. The show lasted approx. 2 hours. I don't understand why they can't play all these songs.

Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
Exactly.
Likewise it makes no sense to be switching out Pushit and Right In Two. I have only seen Right In Two live once, but they are making us hope for the "classic", while losing a very good new song.
They should be playing RI2 regaurdless if Pushit is in the setlist or not. Doing something like they did with Parabol/a in 2001. Come out to Intension after the break, and go into RI2.
By taking that route, you could end the first set with Pushit/misc old song.
If i had to chose......I hope for Pushit.....but not happy about possibly losing RI2.

Yea, it can be frustrating if you go into a show hoping for A and getting B (or not getting A or B at all), but you just gotta take it in stride. You're still getting a two hour concert from an amazing band. It's important to appreciate the show you're at, and not set yourself up for disappointment, because then you leave the show with nothing gained.
Honestly, it can't get any better than seeing my favorite band on a Saturday night in Atlantic City.....unless I put $200 on double 0 and spun a winner. Hm...
Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
i'm looking forward to the show, but i must say im concerned about the setlist just in comparison the the previous shows i've been to. however, i have faith and im looking forward to a kick ass show in AC.
Seats: FL 2 Row 22 Seat 15

yes to an eagles super bowl, only a victory this time
and just to clear things up, the only song i'm really not looking forward to is schism, i feel it's really unnecessary, and there isn't a justification for playing that song over any other---hoping for pushit, can't wait for the show

Just 2 more weeks until the show! I hope we get Pushit but I'll be very happy regardless of what they play.
P.S.
McNabb is going to choke or get injured again this year and you'll see Kolb starting by week 8.

Re: 2007/06/09 - Atlantic City, NJ - Boardwalk Hall
me and my friend are stoked to finally go to what could possibly be the best concert of our lives, but two questions:
1.) On the tickets, does the 8 pm refer to when the doors open or when the actual concert begins?
2.) Does anybody have any tips/advice/wisdom on how to reach Atlantic City from northern New Jersey (Boonton)? Since we're two 17 year old dudes we only have provisional licenses, and it would take about 2.5-3 hours to drive, so we can't be out past 12 and i doubt we'd exactly be in the best condition to evade any trouble right after 2 hours of tool. So does anybody have any suggestions on whether to take certain trains/buses/whatever?
