I attend USF and really think that it's great that Tool is coming and I will definitely go see them, but I am not very impressed with the acoustics in the SunDome.
Florida in early April. Maynard hates smoke, why not play outside somewhere? Not familiar with the venues in Florida but have they no ampitheaters down there?
Anyways, I'll still be attending this show or the Coral Gables show. Possibly both, anyone know which is the better venue in case I only can hit one... the SunDome or the Bank United Center?
Yeah Florida is loaded with Ampitheaters, Ford in Tampa, Metro Park in Jax, Sound Advice or whatever it is now in West Palm, couple other big ones. Ohwell.
So, 10AM this morning, I requested tickets on ticketmaster as soon as they came up... "waited in line" and then it said "sorry, tickets are no longer available". This was at 10:05am. Ridiculous... now they are all over the internet/ebay for outrageous prices... fannnntastic.
Wow, really? I got mine no prob. Tampa and Sunrise. Hmmmmmm. Whatta drag. I truly hope you get tickets. I want nobody that really wants to see this show to miss it. Oh and we are driving in from Texas.
Good Luck!
I just checked ticketmaster for the hell of it and some level one seating was available so I bought them. At this point I don't care if it's not floor.
My husband tried to get us tickets the day they want on sale, just one hour after they started selling he went on and we were only getting third balcony!
Anyone have tickets they are willing to sell in Sections K1, L1, E1 or D1?
The very first time we saw TOOL, they were at Masquerades in Ybor City, very small venue, it rocked! We've seen them one other time and can't wait to see them again,

Anybody happen to know of any semi-decent yet cheap hotels in the area? Just looking for a place to crash at for the night before leaving for work in the morning.

Im staying at the Days Inn on Fletcher Ave which is just a tad north of USF. Something like one street up. pretty close. the room was about $64 i think. Not sure about the quality but its just a bed to sleep in. Theres other hotels around too. The Wingate is right on Fowler Ave for about $110 a night. Check it out. Just look on any hotel website and search tampa hotels, and then narrow it down to the USF/Busch Gardens area and map it out.
Hi all, I live in Az, but I happen to be In florida until June. I just found out that my boys are playing in Tampa and Orlando while I'm here, and naturally I want to go! Does anyone have any extra tickets or no where I could find some. I found a few online outlets that are selling tickets, but I'm not sure if they are legit or not.
Yeah so over the weekend I got a helluva sickness and won't be able to attend the Tampa show (still doing Orlando, even if I blow my eardrums). I am selling a floor ticket for Tampa at or below face value. Only catch is, I am in Orlando (Metrowest to be exact), and can't really travel much to pass off the ticket (the being sick part). If someone in Orlando is interested in meeting me somewhere, I can do that pretty much anytime tomorrow. Shoot me an email at [email protected] or IM me on AIM (NeoDrifter3).
Anyone know if Kinski is still the opening band? I read in a few reviews of previous shows that it was their last for the tour. If theyre done, anyone know who is opening tonight? Just curious. Break a leg to guys and look forward to seeing you tonight. Off on a 4 hour drive to Tampa. See you there!!
Kinksi is not opening, its some new opening band. Im kind of sad, cause my friend said Kinksi was actually a pretty good opening band compared to the others that have toured with tool. The new opening band is MELT BANANA heres their myspace link
You're kidding right? wow. Kinski sounded like Tool compared to this.
LOL, I've actually heard of Melt Banana before, and they DO NOT belong at a Tool show. I wonder what the crowd response will be if they are in fact the opener.
Edit: Yup according to MB's website they are indeed opening for TOOL for most of June! Oh my!
