New album: $60 CD, vinyl, I would guess in the neighborhood of $100
Back catalog: 5 CD set, $100 (without Salival)
Best of Tool MP3 Music $?
Re-release of Aenima vinyl $100
10000 Days vinyl $130
Swag: $50-$100 (estimate)
Concert tickets: your 1st born child
Stocks: to be traded on NYSE, $20/share
Tool tattoo: $50-$1000
Maynard's wine: $50; signed label, $200
Grand total: your college tuition, which took you 13 years to save up.

oh yeah, total cash grab:
Quote:
Brand new unopened European repress on marbled grey vinyl. Looks and sounds great! Could be unofficial, but there is no official pressing out there, so this is a good option for Tool fans.

These gripes are surely pretty irrelevant in the age of streaming services.

I didn't have to pay a cent to listen to the album. Yeah, I want to own it when the price comes down, but for now, I'll just stream it and let adblocker work it's sweet, sweet magic.

Ah-hah! I was right about concert tickets: average $500 and up. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Sorry, imo this band doesn't have a drop of integrity left. Y'allz fell into a well thought out trap. And that shit don't come off in the shower.

ticket price face value was not even close to $500 a ticket. that is ticket resales.
the fear inoculum album was $45 dollars and has a working video screen and audio on teh inside. its one of the coolest cd packages ever made.
everything else you listed werent official releases by the band.
the only other official thing, the wine, $50 is not at all unreasonable for a bottle of wine, and many celebrities ask for much higher fees for a signature on something.
not seeing the cash grab here.

reduced ring-side seat prices if you bring your Tool ticket stub. all proceeds go to Keenan's Mohawk collection.

it's kind of like the little surprise you get when you remove the chocolate shell of a large size Kinder Egg. or a smart a watch screen found in the dumpster in back of Apple's Cupertino plant. Not that smart after all. But Imported from China's Shenzhen province for .142 US per unit, you can't go wrong.

You cant tell me Tool are sold out! You cant!
1. Tell your record company and public you're releasing a new album at the end of the year,
Each year, continuously for as long as the time is right (13 years)
2. Tease the fuck out of everybody with sounds they can only dream of becoming real
3. 5 days before mega deluxe duo album gets released, someone pirates the leaked tracks and puts them up on the net for everyone to see. And no lashback noted.
4. Still get record sales on both albums, 3 albums, 7 albums? Of the same but slightly different material and not boast one word about how G that is.
Sell outs- whatever
