This song could've been on Opiate...

Saw this from an article hosted on TDN:

Quote:
MD: "Ticks And Leeches" is in 7/4?

Danny: Yes, and that's a fun one to play. The opening patter is one
of the most powerful things I've come up with. The song is actually
rehashed from an old song we had done around the Opiate period.
There
are a few places where a double kick comes into play---it's poking
between may hand in places to fill in. When it needs to step up, I
use the double kick to add some of the heavy low end behind it. At
the end, when it starts climaxing, it's double kick all the way.
Interesting.

it is indeed intersting, would be interested in hearing some original demos of ticks...

Re: This song could've been on Opiate...

the song sounds much more aggresive and heavy rock so to speak. which is much more of the attitude on opiate. its not a surprise this song has such a history, it sticks out from the rest of the feeling generated from the album
