lol, I had a feeling you were only kidding, but I still felt the need to share my opinion on the drug.
And I'm finally starting to get excited for the upcoming show. I haven't been VERY excited, due to my shitty tickets, but now that it's approaching, I'm startin to get giddy.

He wasn't referring to all Tool fans from my recollection. He said something to the effect of how when you are playing with a band as huge as Tool, there is bound to be at least a few meatheads in the audience due to the diversity of the fanbase. Looks like he was right...

Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Hmmm...I truly hope the setlist is a touch different than it was last night in Vancouver. As posted, it was:
Stinkfist
The Pot
Forty Six & 2
Jambi
Schism
Rosetta Stoned
Sober
Right In Two
Lateralus
Vicarious
Ćnema
I would like to see Schism replaced with Eulogy, and Pushit added after Right in Two.
Also...I heard so many rumblings of Tool using Wings or 10 000 Days as a sound check song, but they've yet to perform it live. Here's hoping by the time our show rolls around that they've decided to include them.

You misspelled presumptuous and disservice.

I wish Tool could just play ONE song that I absolutely adore, rather than 4 songs I really like, and a handful of others ranging from decent to good.
Agreed. I can't believe they are still playing Schism. Not that it's a bad song, but it's one of my least favourite from their catalogue. They have so many better tracks!

Agreed...I mean...I think I'd blow a fuse if Intolerance ever got played. Now...as far as the Vancouver setlist goes, I can say that I adore any and all of those songs (anyone who saw Jambi at the Hummingbird must still have weak knees...I do). But save for the addition of The Pot, it's the same setlist, reworked.
Here's my proposition (listen up boys):
Intolerance
Eulogy
Hooker with a Penis
Vicarious
No Quarter
Cold and Ugly
Prison Sex
46 & 2
The Grudge
Jambi
Pushit
The Pot
Aenema
Then, as an encore, they all come back to my place and play every one of their albums, cover to cover. Then, I'll make breakfast. All are welcome.

Yeah, schism has to go. Imagine just how fucking cool it would be if the lights dropped, and they opened with Pushit or Eulogy - it would blow the crowd away. Everyone expects stinkfist and schism - they need to drop the overplayed stuff.
Scrap Stinkfist, Schism, and Sober. Bring in Eulogy, The Grudge, and Prison Sex says I.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Anyone still needing tickets or anyone wanting to upgrade, Ticketmaster has a Tool auction right now. It ends in 4 days, floors and 200 sec. row A-L. Lowest bid right now is $90-150. Floors current lowest bid $90. 100 floors and 100 seats available.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Foping - I'd add Parabola to that list
Man, I'll be rather disappointed if they don't add a few tunes to what they did at the HBrd. If nothing else, at least: 'The Grudge', 'Hooker' & 'Parabola'
revelations06 - How much would u pay 2 sit in the 200's?

Foping, though I like it, your setlist is unrealistic, they are going to play more singles, and more shit from 10k days.
I know...it's a 'pie in the sky' type of thing, but not purely due to the actual songs that aren't being played. There's also the issue of the length of that set I put forth, which would be a marathon by Tool standards.
But if they're planning on loading up with 10 000 Days songs, then I say Wings/10K Days has to be played.

Richmond Hill is North or Toronto proper, and not particularly happenin’.
I don’t know of too much right near the Molson Amp – it’s kind of the middle of nowhere, but if you just head East from there to Bathurst, up (North) Bathurst to Queen, then turn right (East) on Queen you’ll find a ton of bars ranging from the very gothic (Bovine Sexy Club, for example) to uber-trendy places with unattainable women and unlistenable music. College street is a good spot too.
It is really too big a city to answer your question as asked.
Also, I’m far too removed from the nightlife scene to even be qualified to answer it.
I’m sorry I just wasted 2 minutes of everyone’s life with this rambling non-answer.
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
Surely, by September 23rd, the setlist will have changed at least a bit. I'm hoping it's a little bit longer than the Vancouver one, but I've never seen Tool, so I'll be happy with just about anything.
Anyone else looking forward to seeing Isis just as much you are seeing Tool? This is going to be the best 3-4 hours of my life.

College Street is a lot of fun. There's also the option of heading to the Queen's Quay, where there are a few moored boats on the water that tend to get rather interesting...

I'm not much of a nightclub person, and this defintely makes the nut. As for your seats, the Amphitheatre is very well laid out. At the 303 level, you'll be fine for sight-lines, and you're not all that far away. You're essentially in the second level of seating.

Thank you to Bino for all the info so far, you rock!

Antcrusher, you are a queen and your fiancée is extremely lucky to have you, congratulations.
I think Isis is going to be awesome and I can't wait to hear the new music they bust out. I really hope they play so did we and if the heavens smile maybe Justin will come out to play Altered Course with them. Now I've built it up too high. Are the new songs available for download?
Re: 2006/09/23 - Toronto, ON - Molson Amphitheatre
