ROFL. That must've been an exciting experience. This should be my sixth show. Happy to say the last time I saw Tool was at Radio City in NYC.

We'll be downtown by 3:00 PM for pre concert festivities. I suggest Hockeytown but we should all get together and meet, since we are all in the sevice together(Navy). LOLAM

Prolife? Hardly.

Unless by prolife you mean that I think you should get one. If the only way you enjoy things is through the use of mind-altering chemicals... Well, that makes your life pretty pathetic, doesn't it.

I am driving in from Columbus that afternoon and sitting up in the nosebleeds (GB5 or something?). If anyone is getting there in the early evening and wants to have a beer and talk tool let me know.

Nick,

Are you taking I-94 from Jackson?
If so, plan ahead. Around Ann Arbor there's an assload of construction going on, you can see where all of it is on the Michigan dept. of transportation site. You may need to seek an alternate route.

Change of tickets for me....instead of $229 tickets for row A of the Mezz we got F5 Row E (or fifth row) for $165 each. My friend's dad knows one of the VPs of ticketbastard...

There isn't anyone here that can complain about their tickets to me. I've got the far back, far right side seats. So there. But I bought them through ticketmaster and I'm still going, so I don't really give a shit!

Thanks for the warning but Oh i know. I go up to Ypsi-Arbor all the time. I'm not too worried about the slow drive through there. Worse case scenerio i arrive at the door at 6:10 with plenty of time left till the show. I think we will be looking for a parking spot at 6:00.

I had a chance for 2 orchestra seats for face value because my buddy knows the owner of the hunt club in jackson and he got orchestra seats from the beer venders. Anyway it was to late for me to sell mine for face then buy his for face. Anyway he's gonna keep us in mind for the arena tour though.

Re: 2006/05/15 - Detroit, MI - Fox Theatre

My wife and I are traveling from Tennessee tomorrow morning, to stay with my parents in Lathrup Village.

This will be my third Tool show--I think her fourth or fifth.

I used to go to the Fox all the time in the 1980s--before renovation. When I saw U2 there in 1984, I thought the balcony would break from the rocking. Monday night, we'll be in the back of the balcony. I'm just glad to be in the building. I think the theater tour was a great idea, even though it created a radically unreasonable demand for tickets.

We bid and lost on two auctions before finally getting our pair.

Before the show, we're going to the Cass Cafe (where we had our wedding reception in 2002) to hang out with some local non-TOOL friends. It is a very friendly and fun neighborhood bar near Wayne State (where I graduated from in 1994). http://www.casscafe.com/

After the show, I think we'll look for a cafe closer to home with wireless internet to type-up our reflections to post on the forum.

All y'all traveling alone or in small groups from all over should share cell-phone numbers, making it easier to hook up for food, drink, medicinal ritual, conversation.

I am so excited, but I want the next two days to linger, so we can savor the anticipation. The sooner we get to Monday night, the sooner the show will be over, and we will be waiting until fall to see them again.

Anu

That's why I prefer higher seats. Being closer to the stage is great, but as far as enjoying the music and appreciating the show, I dig balcony.

anyone ever been to the detroit beer co. i am thinking of going there for dinner and a few drinks. its close to our hotel, and seems to be a little lower than stadium priced food and beverages unlike some places i've checked out closer to the fox...

I still pick Cass Cafe or the Majestic (which is on Woodward) or anything north of the Fox closer to WSU.

By the time I write this, the Chicago show is over.

That means: we're next.

Get ready.
