Could it be the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH?

so they messed up the city, state and arena name? the only thing i can think of is that they are changing the name of the Bank of America Pavilion. if Tool plays there it will be unreal. i saw Radiohead there from the front row last year. the place is tiny and the sound is great.

Yeah I'm thinking the pavillion will be the venue, I think it's currently being renamed because the website is down. I was also at that Radiohead show. It was insane. The pavillion is a great place to see a show.

You're probably right, however, I found this site selling tickets that has it listed in Manchester...

prolly GA if he's gonna mosh....it would be doubly silly to mosh in the stands.
yeah i went to the show last september there. i didnt really like it much... but the seating chart says there's a GA pit, which is really good news (although i bet it'll be near impossible to get tickets in there)

I doubt very many of you are familiar with Grand Rapids or Van Andel Arena, but does anyone know if floor is going to be GA or seats for this tour? I'm guessing seats for Van Andel, since the seating chart is divided into a few different sections. http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/65737/2673/
On the other hand, my tickets only say "Floor 4" and not a row or seat number. Is it first come-first serve for each individual section or what? I know I sound like a retard but I've never been able to get floor tickets to a show before.
I got tickets to grand rapids and the detroit show but im a little nbervous about the grand rapids show. According to ticketmaster they are in grand rapids on the 3rd then milwaukee on the 4th then grand rapids again on the 5th.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
July 3rd has been scheduled as the Detroit show for quite a while now. Now Ticketmaster is showing it for Clarkston, MI which is only like 20 mins from Dtown. Everything keeps changing, but more than likely the 3rd is going to be for Detroit somewhere.
The only problem is now for the GR show. If they're going to be in Detroit on the 3rd, and Summerfest in Wisconsin on the 4th, are they going to come BACK to Michigan for the GR show on the 5th? Seems unlikely, which sucks because I got some nice tickets to the GR show. If I would have known they were doing Summerfest beforehand I would have gotten tickets to the Detroit show.
Shepdog, any spare tickets? All that's left in Clarkston are nosebleeds...

I agree with that also. Dance and really get into the music just don't disrepect other people and be a total jackass.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
hey... just wondering if there are seats on the floor or if there are chairs again like last time???

Although it's not listed on the official tour page, Pollstar.com is showing that Tool will be in London at the Carling Brixton Academy on 08/21/07. So it looks like they're headed from the East Coast back across the pond.

lucky you. the 5 shows within 6 hours of me all have reserved seating on the floor.
what a dissapointment.
i was gonna go to three shows, but now all those hours of driving and money spent on hotels doesnt seem worth it to sit in a seat 3 nights in a row seeing the same songs each night.

I've been to a couple Tool shows, one of which I was in the GA section standing (awesome) and the other where I has a reserved seat on the floor.
Contrary to what I believed about the reserved seat, I actually enjoyed it (it's quite unlikely that you will find many people sitting). Most notably, it was nice because it gave me more room to do my own thing with the extra space the seating provided. Give it a shot though, you may find it pleasant.

Usually a cover band plays another bands songs. Maybe Maynard was hinting that the band that recorded Aenima no longer exists. Maybe that's why they don't play the old ones anymore. You know the Neurons in your head change daily, you never wake up as the same person you were the day before.

Quite simply...Tool does better music than any other rock/metal/progressive band out there. With thier complex melodies to quick paced lyrics all contrasting to a climactic high...I don't see how anyone can legitametely diss' the band.
Sure maynard aint so young anymore...in his 40's now he probably won't make but 1 or maybe (if we're lucky) 2 albums...and no matter how old or out of practice the band may be....they can play anything...you want to know why they don't play their old song's? Hmmmm...this is a tour for 10,000 days maybe they want to play what they're selling...also they do play old songs. schism and greats like that.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I don't think anyone disputes physical ability diminishes with age.
Like an Ace pitcher who’s lost a few miles per hour on his fastball, Maynard's being forced to change his approach. He can still bring the heat when he has to but he can't go all 9 innings without adding some finesse to his arsenal.

Just saw the last two San Diego shows...Shirts are selling @ 38.00 dollars for regular and 45.00 dollars for large. New designs for the tour shirts as follows:
- A new black tour shirt with the 10,000 Days eye on the back with tour dates
-A white shirt with tool logo on front and back and tour dates
-To me the best one: Black t-shirt with Tool logo and Lateralus/Spiral Man on back. No tour dates on back of shirt.
- A 5x5 foot $10.00 poster with the 10,000 days CD pictures of Adam, Danny, Maynard, Justin. This was a $5.00 sticker on their last tour, now blown up
as a bad-ass poster. A good deal for the avid fan.
-Kinski items/shirts/cd's etc
..................and of course the underappreciated "fake shirts" you can get from the guy on the street after the concert. He'll want $10-15 dollars, maybe 20.00
for the shirt. I saw replicas of the shirts in San Diego which were decent, but without the bands "Los Angeles Band and star logo". Hope this helps.
