who am i kidding...i wont stay mad at tool, even if they play a really short set... but Opening with Ticks and leeches would seriously make my friend able to die happy.
....as will probably happen, if it's as hot as people are saying it will be...
i'll be getting there a bit later than it seems most of you people...but i'll be wearing a black tool "pill" shirt, and most likey 3/4 length jeans of some description.
never understood the point of wearing a shirt of the band youre going to see. its obvious you support them or you wouldnt be there. dress in style, mofo. or wear the support band's shirt, if you like them. they need your support. im not telling you how to life, or am i?

it's a total coincidence that its my only clean shirt :S although if i can find it, i might wear my Children of Bodom one...
meh, if it makes you feel any better, i have this habit of never listening to a band while wearing anything of their merch, i dunno why, i just refuse to do so- except live, live i'll show my support or whatever.
I never listen to the band I'm going to see on the same day, dunno why, weird I guess.
As a matter course, I been on a Tool-free diet today of Peeping Tom, Massive Attack and Genghis Tron. ;p
i've been trying to get my head around rosetta stoned, i want to at least try and go along with it- but other than that its been children of bodom, symphony X and Aquabats today :)
Not long now, just hope my cough/cold goes in time :(
Is anyone planning on recording the 14th show atall? I was gonna take my mp3 player but the chances of actually getting a clear recording are pretty much nil.
Good effort with the mp3 player lol, i really do hope the bootleg ppl are arsed to record this, especially the 14th *cough*. Come on, how often do tool play the UK, we need a copy of all their performances.
So, did they crack down on people smoking in the auditorium or not really?
What's the story with the short sets as well? I mean, I'm halfway Tool obsessed, I've been waiting years for the latest album and tour, and then only 1.5 hours? Same as at Download? Oh well, I guess it's about quality and not quantity :-)
There was a reasonable amount of smoking.. strong smell of pot near where i was.
Hehehe.
There were a few people smoking before they came on, but when they were on (down the front at least) the security were making sure no-one lit up as soon as they saw even sparks. It's a big venue, your not going to suffocate, although I have to sympathise with people who suffer because of it . .. . Have fun.

they werent trying very hard to put it out- people behind me and to my right were lighting up during righ in two...
I don't want to get anyone overly excited just incase, but I MAY have a ticket due to my mate forgetting, i'll keep you posted over the next hour or so.
In the seated area people kept lighting up all the time and nobody seemed to be doing anything about it, at least where I was sitting, also some really drunk / crazy fans kept standing up in the very front row moshing and singing along like a bunch of silly goons at a wedding party, blocking everyones view. I know people want to get in to it but he should have went to the standing area if he wanted to stand : \
Questions:
* Can we bring water bottles into the venue, or are those confiscated so we've gotta buy from the bar?
* I've got a circle seated ticket - there going to be any chance I can sneak down into the stalls?
