I know tool debuted at #1 in Canada last week, with pearl jam on #2. Anyone know how many albums were sold though?

10,000 Days is number 1 in Australia, having already gone platinum here (70,000+ copies) as well as going platinum already in New Zealand (15,000+ copies).
Interestingly, I went to 2 different record stores today and neither had Tool in the #1 spot on their chart/display of new albums etc. Surprised as I was, I kept looking for it but it was nowhere to be found! The RHCP was #1 and Pearl Jam was #3 i think, so I asked "what's going on?" to which I was informed that there is an overall 'shortage' of 10,000 Days albums in Australia due to such impressive first week sales. One store had a few copies left but were not advertising/displaying it at all because of this supposed 'shortage'...
Although it would have been great to see Tool physically on their charts at #1, it's still nice to know that their new disc kicked so much arse!

When they certify an album on billboard as being platinum, is that only US sales? Anywhere that shows total international sales, let's say for Lateralus?
I would also bet that as the new album introduces some new fans, there would be a spike in all previous album sales as well. I know that once Lateralus really reeled me in, immediately went out and bought all the others.
