Ok so 10,000 days is about thirty years....i cant remember where i read this but i remember maynard saying somewhere in an interview that a lot of different things happen to you when you turn thirty blah blah and somewhat of lateralus is about that type of stuff.....saturn ascending and such. And with the supposed new album artwork being the backdrop of the lateralus tour........could 10,000 days actually be the live DVD title and the artwork be for the DVD? hmm...

10k days isnt close enough to 30 for that to be valid. It's like 27.4. If you read other threads here you will find that stores already have the CD 10,000 Days listed, not a dvd. It's a CD, not a DVD, not a hoax. Let it be. Tool might like to mess with us, but they wouldn't go to the extent of messing with retail stores and/or having forum members post fake things like that (pictures of pricetag labels etc.) for them.

I have read the other threads....its just a skeptical time, we have yet to see any real evidence that this is the album title, we have little to no news about anything....and yes Tool would fuck with retail stores, why wouldnt they?

The stores are expecting CDs, they have prepared for them, most likely spent money on them already. They won't exactly laugh it off it it turns out they get shipped DVDs.

I guess that TooL is not that cryptic, I mean, they did that once. Now they are just trying other ways to prevent leaks etc. So just face it, 10000 days is a CD. Packed together with a dvd? well, it is a possibility, but right now we must just wait until may 2nd.

I'm hopin the whole "dvd/cd combo" thing is true. Doubtful, but bad fucking ass if true. Plus would just make more sense to me, personally. They haven't given any real specifics, we may be treated to a bonus disc that's live, who knows!?!

what about this maybe a new kind of cd package that will have the 10000 days cover on one side then u can flip it to the opposite side and have the artwork we have now that opens to the dvd side of the package just a thought.

As i've said before, i'm hoping Tool has a simultaneous release for the album and dvd. I don't think it is out of the question.

It'll be better if we have something to look forward to after the new album gets released. If they release them together, we probably won't get anything from Tool in the next few years :|

What evidence would you consider "real", short of having the damn album in your hands? I'd say Blair specifically stating that the new ALBUM is called 10,000 Days is pretty good evidence.

what if they released 10000 days in cd-like packaging, like schism and parabola..and it was the tour dvd....make sense....ya know...the artwork....little later but still have ties and shit....i just really dont think they would use that for their album art....did aenima look anything like lateralus?

It constitutes that since there's no real evidence that the album title/tracklist are real, then we don't know anything for sure. Except of course you who believes anything Blair tells you.

Im tellin you something really strange is going on i dont understand it at all look at the new newsletter theres nothing about it in there, we keep hearing about all these shows confirmed but they are all "secret" and it just doesnt seem like we've gotten all that much information at all.

I think that they could be up to anything. They did say that they have taken measures to ensure that the new album is not leaked, so perhaps the whole world could really be that stupid to think that the new album could actually be titled '10,000 days', and go do a torrent search, or a limewire search for it.
As far as it goes with pre sale copies and all that, has anyone noticed that any copies that are for sale on the internet (amazon, E-bay, etc), the image that shows the album is the cover that has been released on Toolband.com with the new Tool logo and title done in the same format underneath. Does this signify that perhaps the people who are trying to sell the album dont even know that much about it? Of course they would want to put something up there, I mean, it's Tools new album, everyone is going to want it that bad, especially if it os so hard to find on the internet. Perhaps they just want to see how much they can sell in the first week if it is made all that bit harder to find online.
As for what 10,000 days means, i think that, like every single other Tool album's title, it is just not possible to guess, or try an dinterpret what it means. 10,000 days = 30 years.... I find it highly unlikely, good try, but I dont think it so.
I think that we are in for one big shock soon anyway, when the single is released and all, and all the details come out about hte album, or maybe even after that, I dunno... I just think that they are way too smart for us all, and if we all werent onto something here that is even close to the truth, these posts would have already been sent to the Fake area of the forum.... may be onto something.....

i still think that the artwork would support the theory of the live dvd just my opinion,but im with the other people who lean toward tool not using similiar artwork.may 2nd we shall see!!!!!
