thanks sue, appreciate it. so far i have called 8 hotels, all booked, just found one the motor inn, its 110 bucks and doesn't seem too close. i also read the reviews online and they weren't too good, so i don't know if i pull the trigger. i don't want to hastle with renting a car, because its going to be a quick swoop in swoop out, but i still really want to go, i also still havent got a ticket, so im a litle hesitant right now. but i still want to make it happen, the 7th is my birthday and i thought this would be a great little get away, and a huge deal to me to see my favorite band ever on there last show of this tour
There's a Hilton Garden Inn right near the airport. I work at the Karts place down the street from there lol I can get ya a free ride if you shout TOOL ROCKS!!!!!!!
anyways, sue got all you need so hope you enjoy Nassau's show.
Yeah, it's usually WAY more expensive to fly in to MacArthur vs. JFK/LaGuardia anyway, the money you'd save would probably pay for your hotel and any ground transporation you need anyway. Did you check those airfares?

hahaha... i'm not on the floor anyway. and i'm definatlly not into moshing. just down for having a good time and enjoying the show. and hopefully get to meet some of you people that only exist to me digitally. eating fun guys and drinking sum beerz. i just wanted to know if anybody wanted to hang out before the show.
On thursday I got to the show late, drank a cooler full of beer in 20 mins, lost my brother in the mudpit that was the lawn, after which I decided to go and hop the wall and stand in the back of the seated section, lit up with the guy next to me (which is actually rare for me), gave myself whiplash as TOOL ripped it up, and managed to keep my balance all throughout the show. Afterwards, I could *not* find the goddamn parking lot that the car was in and I proceeded to stumble around drunkenly thru FUCKING CAMDEN at midnight, cold, wet, and lost. It was horrible!
So....where's the party at nassau?

hahaha... awsome.
definatly wanna party with ya. we should all probally meet up on the side of the parking lot closer to the hotel. thats the only landmark i can think of. thats still pretty broad i know, but it's 1 step closer to a TDN party. any more suggestions? come on people lets plan this shit out!
oh, btw...anyone going there from manhattan? I'm still trying to workout how to get there; I know i'm taking the LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica, then I *think* I'm supposed to connect and go to Hempstead, and then from there....a bus? (This is where I feel a little lost...having Camden flashbacks...)
Can anyone verify?

i'm going from manhattan too....when you take the train in Penn station it goes directly to Hempstead and you dont have to make any transfers (or thats what I think concidering the research I made on the net ) and after that take a bus or taxi...but I believe its better to go together

Reason: just said abunch of crap
sharing a taxi might be a better idea once youre in Hempstead, since I dont know how often the busses run. It is too far away to walk there. Keep in mind the surrounding area is not the greatest either. You might also consider taking a taxi back to the city after the show, if you can split the fare 3 ways or something it would almost make sense...
