Jambi, The Pot and Rosetta Stoned and insanely addictive, and it's not possible to pick "the best" from them yet. I'm not even going to try to rate them against material from other albums...

My all time top ten is probably something like this:

1) Ænima
2) Eulogy
3) H
4) 46 and 2
5) Pushit
6) Jimmy
7) 4 Degrees
8) The Patient
9) 10000 days.
10 ) Vicarious

As you can see, I'm a BIG Ænima fan. I liked Lateralus, but not as much as Ænima. I love 10,000 days, but it will take a long time of listening before I can think of it in the same way that I think of Ænima.

it is addictive, it has distinctive hooks and riffs. I am surprised you can't hear them and you say such things. I would not be surprised if I heard such a statement from linking park fan, but you are a tool fan and you know that Tool does not make it obvious.

Maybe simply write that you do not like the song, or provide better, constructive criticism of the song, or just listen to Adam's playing once again without preconceived notion of not liking the song. and iif after that you say the guitar work in this song, PARTICULARLY in this song is not disninctive, then it means you really hate the song, and then I give up:)

But musically, not even in the top 15.

I like how everyone around here argues that someone's personal taste is not right. Doesn't that sound little ironic when considering Tool's ideology on humanity? So fuck off with your "Your music tastes are offensive and suck!" statements.

Right now, my top 10 are hard to choose, but I'll go this way for now:

1) The Pot - Took a few listen-throughs to grow on me, and now I'm addicted. I love his voice, the lyrics are very "in your face", and the music is pretty damned heavy.

2) Forty-Six & 2 - Used to be my no. 1 song. Some of the best written lyrics I have personally ever heard in a song. And the music is just crazy, yet very precise. And let's not forget the coolness factor.

3) 10,000 Days(Wings Pt. 2) - It's soft, highly orchestrated, and I actually cried the first several times I heard it. Call me a pussy, I don't care.

4) Lateralus - Another song written incredibly well, which is saying a lot about Tool considering MJK's incredible ability to write mind-blowing lyrics. And when I heard this song while I was stoned with my headphones on I got dizzy. Not sure why. Perhaps someone can explain that to me.

5) Swamp Song - In my opinion, one of the best "pissed off at the world" songs written. I don't know why, but whenever I'm mad, I turn this song on and blast it. Makes me feel better.

I know I said 10, but I'm feeling lazy right now, and I'm about to head to bed. Maybe I'll finish the list later.

And before you make assumptions, tell me what I must like, no, I am not a huge fan of Third Eye or Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned. I never found them to be amazing. They're good, LK/RS is silly, but they aren't the best things ever done by Tool. I think it's Tool's way of saying "Hey, don't be so serious about everything." That's just me though.

Rosetta Stoned and 10,000 days (pt.2) have become my 2 new favourite Tool songs. No explanation necessary.

Wings, Part 1 and 2. I deliberately only listen to those about once a week. That's how much they get to me.

But the funny thing is, I often get the distinct feeling that people would kill one another over music choices. After some of the posts I've read around here, I really wouldn't be surprised.

Somehow, I don't see Tool threatening anyone. Making fun of and personal threats are different.

I'd have to say Lateralus, just because of the last part. When Adam's guitar kicks in (wommmwommmwa-wommmwommmwa), and then Justin's bass comes in sounding like an engine switching gears... its like god's hand coming out of the sky to crush all evil forces.

I'm a big fan of the epic Tool songs.
