I have not and will not download it, it just does not feel right to listen to it until I have the album art and a physical cd in hand, and fuck yes I will buy it, multiple times most likely.

I downloaded the whole album in a moment of weakness but my girlfriend listened to it before i did, and told me i must have got fake versions of all the songs (except Vicarious). I took this as a sign from above that what i did was wrong, and im so glad i've now deleted the downloads. I obviously would have bought the album regardless, but it's so hard knowing that all the songs are there waiting for me.....Kinda feels like i've been waiting for..............

I'm definately going to buy the album, maybe even 2 copies.

I haven't heard the new album yet, and i'm waiting to buy it on the second. i feel really left out, but i'm going to wait.
I don't really even know why, but for me it will just feel better to go out and buy it (midnight release party, yes!) and listen to it then.

Dude, what? Buy 2, sure, for a backup, but you should play it like this, go up to her and tell her you have her ride to the record store for her to make good on her promise.
edit: Unless, of course, you dont drive... then you're fucked. Not literally, either.

I ordered my copy today and I am going in a draw to see them live in Las Vegas. Here's hoping...
I didn't steal the album like most of the people on this forum. Yes it is stealing even if you will still buy the album when it comes out. Imagine someone breaking into your house and eating all your food. Then two weeks later you get a knock on the door and some fuckwit says "I am here to pay for the food you left lying around, thanks, it filled the gap, but some of it was a bit old and stale, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully next time you'll have some more of the tasty apple pie that your wife makes."
How would you feel?

I agree with your conclusion and I doesn't try to excuse oneself in no way
Though the example with food is a little bit naive...
However I think that the problem is not leaching files, but rather that, if someone made this then he is not giving any support to the band in no way
Stone me if you haven't been leaching any files in your life…

I should go into business selling Tool "backup" CD's. I'd make a fucking mint. Really people, buying multiple CD's on a regular/semi regular basis is a bit bonkers.
Tool sees little money from this...
You know what I'm starting to think? TOOL's Platinum discs are being floated by 200 amazingly dedicated/clumsy TOOL fans...
Incidentally, jokes aside, CDS are actually being constructed to be weaker now than they were10 years ago. BACKUP YOUR MUSIC, people. Once you have purchased a CD, the music is YOURS!

Though the example with food is a little bit naive...
However I think that the problem is not leaching files, but rather that, if someone made this then he is not giving any support to the band in no way
Stone me if you haven't been leaching any files in your life…

Stoning...(its true)
But then I am a geek. I guess the food analogy would never really work, but I am more aiming at the people who downloaded it then said it was shit and that tool owe them more than this

I have listened to the album and will probably buy 2 or 3 copies. One for the house, one for the road, and one to keep un-opened.

This is the best place to have a first post. I will of course be picking up this album as soon as I possibly can. Tool is the best band out there right now. I was going to wait regardless of the leak, but gave in to my curiousity. 10,000 Days is an excellent addition to the Tool canon and anyone who says otherwise needs to take another listen (or 10).

Read the title of the thread. Why do some people go out of their way to be assholes around here? You're an asshole.
Great album.
