Eulogy would be cool since I haven't seen them do it since that same tour (I think) in Seattle. One song they didn't play at that show which I haven't seen performed live before is Hooker With a Penis. That would really make my night tomorrow! Hey I can dream.
it's eerie that ticks, pushit and schism are being played consecutively. my ex-girlfriend and i will both be at this concert and through our fucked up and broken relationship we identify with those songs rather deeply. if that part of the setlist stays then this concert is gonna be an emotional fucking roller coaster. i foresee lots of crying, hopefully some healing. we'll see.
Whoa. Good luck!!!

Wow, surprised to see Hooker on there, but that's killer, they opened w/ that the first two times I saw them.
I've never heard them do Ticks & Leeches, or The Pot. I hope these tunes make the setlist for Boston. Sometimes they alternate one or two tunes from night to night, I'll be curious to see the next few setlists.
I like the set list event tho of all the songs i could ask for them to play Hooker would be the last one...no songs off of undertow is ok, its my least favorite album...i was hoping for swamp song cause its my dads favorite....i thought Jimmy would have been a cool opener instead of Hooker, but all in all i am happy with this set, the first time i saw them they did not play Aenima so im hoping to see that....about a week till toledo!!!!!

Okay. Pushit alone is worth the ticket price. I hope to hear Intension as well and I'm praying that Hooker is their swap song with either Third Eye or H. (please God). Even still, Hooker is growing on me now that I have the prospect of seeing it, but I honestly haven't listened to it in about 5 years. When I ripped Aenema to my computer I deleted it. Just a bummer that they choose THAT track from Aenema instead of H. or Third Eye which are favorites and realistic, unlike Eulogy which I don't think they could pull off anymore.
what makes you think they couldn't pull off Eulogy if they played ticks

Ticks is improbable because of the harshness, but they use voice effects for that. Eulogy is hard to pull off because of the pitch an power required. He's singing in around the same register as The Pot but with the power up to ten for most of it. It's like singing the closer of pushit for 5 minutes.
I don't know if many people actually got to see them, the line to get into the venue wrapped around several blocks around the venue. It took about an hour to get through the line and by that time they were done, got in at 8:50 TOOL went on about 9:10 or so. They were all I needed
Hooker and Pushit sound amazing and I won't be disappointed to hear them at all. Ticks is alright but beyond Danny's killer playing its just ok. All the rest of the shit I've heard before, some at every show I've seen since 2001.
But Third Eye, I have got to get that one out of my system. It's been arguably my favorite song of all time by any band and I just fucking hope I haven't missed my shot in hearing it. Wish we got get Hooker, Pushit and Third Eye and skip 46&2 or Stinkfist.

Boston will be my ninth show. I was lucky enough to see them open with Third Eye on the last night of the '02 tour in Long Beach. It was as epic as I could have ever hoped for.
I was really hoping for one or two songs I've never heard, or not in a long time (Hooker, Ticks, Intension, The Pot would all fit the bill) but like most of the rest of you, I've learned to take what I can get from this band (Christ, I don't think they've updated the Tool Army page since I paid for my membership, kind of pissed about no fanclub presale for this since they are still used as a selling point for TA.)
Sorry, didn't mean to go on a rant. Regardless, I am PUMPED for Boston!

I remember reading something about a random song list generator, which they run off befor each show, with some songs being more likely to pop up than others. I could be wrong, or it could have been MJK talking something goofy, or otherwise being himself.
Aweswome stuff guys cant wait to see my 2 shows . But for now I gotta good fix . jwb is the man . been getting some excelent pix all day from him at the Mandalay Bay Center . This guy is awesome.
