in other news, NOLA is by far the most awesome city i've ever travelled to in my life. i want to come back here one day when I get the chance. everything about new orleans is just absolutely amazing. the atmosphere, people, city, environment, ect. It's like Las Vegas, but less gambling/desert and more water/natural disasters.

Yeah, this is strange considering that Wovenhand confirmed that they are opening these shows on their myspace page (which links directly from their official website).
anything off lateralus that they didn't play in 09 will be purely awesome. I want to jump on a flight right now to nola. it's also nice to see that the LA dates exist also. wtf is with the bands mgt though. They can't even let people know who the opening act is before the tour starts? lol, that is some bullshit.

Not to mention it's on the front page of their record label's website also. That is really weird. Blair must have just been fucking with us. I find it very, very hard to believe that the band would put it up in two places, and that their record label would put it up, if they weren't definitely going to be the opener.
Regarding the new songs.....I'm thinking the one from Lateralus has to be either D/T/R or MAYBE The Grudge. Maynard can't sing the Patient or Parabola anymore. The notes that matter in those songs are simply too high, and actually The Grudge and D/T/R would severely push his limits too (though I'll be more than happy if Maynard proves me wrong).
The one from Aenima will probably be Pushit.
One thing I really hope they do on this tour is continue to play Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned and Lateralus. I don't think they've played a single show without Lateralus since the album came out, and I don't think they've played a single show without Rosetta Stoned since 10,000 Days came out...I hope they continue that trend. Those songs are both absolutely phenomenal live.

im right there with you. i'm attending tomorrows show in Houston, and i don't want to peak at the setlist. so much build up over this tour. have a very good feeling about this mini tour!!!

One of the positives about not being able to see them this summer (east coast!) is that there is no debate on whether or not to look at the setlist :-) I caught them last year, so it's all good.

Sitting in NO waiting to head to the arena... Debating on when to get there. Only reason I would get there any earlier than 830 would be if they have the silkscreens for this tour but with it being the first show, we don't know yet.
we have a better idea given the newest post by blair. New shirts are going to start in tx on june 22 and apparently will be in really limited supply for a thousand bucks a pop. Well i kid about that price, but i dont recall it being mentioned. i need more money!!!
Tuesday in Cedar Park will be my 10th time seeing the band, and every time all I wanted to hear was Pushit (and still never have). So I am really hoping that's one of them. It was in circulation a little bit during the 07 tour, so it's a strong possibility. They played it one show before and one show after I saw them! I was pissed! And I have a feeling the Lateralus song will be the Patient. I saw them play it in Dallas on the 10,000 Days mini-tour. I thought Maynard nailed it pretty well, and I even have a recording of it for reference. But if it were up to me I would choose to hear the Grudge. Haven't heard that one since 2002!
