Sweat or Part Of Me, both great songs. But this is my least favorite Tool album, so it's kind of hard to say.

opiate/jerk off

damn good songs

hehe, today i got called down to the "detectives" office at school today for writing "I should play GOD and shoot you myself." they had me in handcuffs in the office talking to me like i'm six years old about how they have a NO TOLERANCE thing here and crap like that. i told them that the word YOU represents my ignorance. but nooo. they said that they wouldn't tolerate it. needless to say Intolerance came into my head. haha.... i need a life...

Lol, divine martryr. Go and shout "I will not tolerate you" to them.

My favorite song is Jerk off and next is Hush or Cold & Ugly.

I'll have to go 'Cold and Ugly'. I'm totally addicted to that opening guitar riff... I can't go without playing it whenever I plug my guitar in with distortion! So damn satisfying, and Maynard's voice is on top form in the recording too.

Consequences dictate

Jerk-off is my favorite because of the line: It's only wrong if you get caught. The music is pretty good too.

when i was first getting into the cd it was hush, probally because it was simple in comparison to the rest of tool, then it became part of me cause i love more the drums of a song excluding vocals. i always skipped over sweat for some reason that is beyond me an currently thats i'm hooked on, on the opiate cd.

Jerk-off by far.

mainly because of the line:
"it doesn't matter what's right.
It's only wrong if you get caught"

it's just so damn true, and one of the most clever lines I have ever heard.

Also, there's always the Toolgasm at the end of the song...... "shoot you in your fucking head." :) Great song all around.

The rest of the songs are on the same level to me. I guess I tend to listen to "Opiate" more then the other tracks, but I can't really put any of them in oder.

cold and ugly

id have to go with cold and ugly because it is just such a damn good song. especially after seeing it preformed live, i love how maynard adds a lateralus feel to the song and almost makes it feel like new.

I'll go with Jerk-Off and Cold & Ugly. I really like Part of Me as well, along with Hush. Excluding Sweat will be blasphemy, and The Gaping Lotus Experience is so funny! But for a favourite, however hard it is to pick, I'll go with Opiate.

Cold and Ugly: Mainly because at the start when he says "Throw that Bob Marley wanna-be motherfuckr outta here" and "(You know?) there was a bunch of assholes that lived in this part of the apartment(?) before, but we systematically removed thm lik you would any termit or 'roach.

Ah the early, angry(ish) Tool.
