Is this all speculation? No info has been released,i dont even think TOOLs management is 100% certain of the dates,go read the "update of an update" post by Blair on toolband.com
- I would immagine if they knew for sure that the april dates would be canceled, they would have been deleted with the early March dates. Why otherwise would you only delete some? I think April is still a possibility.
-not to mention Blairs description of an extremely quick recovery, more quick than most have been speculating.

damn lucky bastards.
I agree.
these shows might not be rescheduled:
1. recent toolband posts suggest a quick recovery
2. None of the April / late March dates have been taken off of toolband

I think the attitude is to stay optimistic and that's why no additional cancellations/postponements at this time. But you can bet if the docs say 'don't play' then Danny will not play.
As for the Vegas, SD and NM shows etc, TM has so far been adamant that those shows are going to be rescheduled, and I believe they will be.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
So, in regards to tool playing Toronto in Sep 2001, I heard from two different people that tool was pissed at the ACC because after the show someone managed to steal an instrument from backstage. Aparently they said they never wanted to play there again. I think there's an interview where they mention this as well, but I've never seen it. To further back up the story, when I was pissing in the parking lot after the show I saw this really scary drunk guy who was yelling 'i got a tool guitar' and he definitely had an instrument in his hands. I retrospect I should have talked to him but I was too fucked up and he was really intense/intimidating.
Has anybody else heard of this or know of the interview where it's mentioned?

Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Are the shows in late April gonna be rescheduled too (Northeast shows)?...For example, I think there's a show on April 29th and it wouldn't seem to make too much sense to reschedule those

I don't think it would make sense to start the tour in the northeast and then start back over from the west coast going to the southeast, these rescheduled dates are probably the start of the tour and they may be waiting on confirmation from all the other venues before posting those dates as well. Looks like it will be more of a late spring/summer tour. Maybe they will throw Red Rocks in Colorado in the mix.

That's what I thought at first...But then where would Bonnaroo fit in with their new schedule?...They'd have to take a break between all their Northeast dates and head south...Only time will tell I suppose...

Yeah i would like to know about this too. I think its absolute BS if you can't use the tickets WE alll ready paid for to get into these shows. Surely they know that every show sold out, and some people paid alot more than face value from ticket brokers, I mean can I get my money back from them? I think not.... Fucking BS all around.
And P.S. I love Danny and all but I'm I the only one who thinks he's a dumbass for try'n to pick up a 150 pound beast of a dog?

I have tickets to the Southaven concert and was curious about this whole "exchange" business. I e-mailed the box office this morning and they replied that all original tickets would still be honored. They also let me in on another small bit of information. The start time of the concert has been moved from 8PM to 7:30PM. You guys may want to check your concert venues to make sure start times haven't change for them.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Any news of who will be opening for this segment of the tour? Perhaps they moved the start times to 7:30 to give time to the opener? Perhaps they moved the starting time to make room for an epic, 2-hour Tool set?

Tell me... I need to know. Is the Southaven show still on for the original date? If so, my friends and I will be really glad to hear that. I know that they have postponed up until the 24th... I'm really hoping they bring it on the 30th.

According to the tichetmaster chick i talked to this morning, all original tickets will be honored so there is no need to exchange. Bummer for the delay, i was looking forward to a little prevacation concert in march now it will be May 8. At least the didn't cancel outright.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)

Cool thanx for the info, i was freaking out too so I called Tickets Now and they said ticketmaster "must" honor the tics. What was strange though is that the new dates were on sale yesterday on TM and shows that I know were sold out before had tickets available. oh well I guess we'll have to wait and see what that was all about.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Does anyone have a clue about the new onsale dates for the Alabama and Georgia shows. I called Ticketmaster today, and the douche I talked to didn't even know the shows had been rescheduled.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
My sister is a ticket master regional rep and knows I'm a big Tool fan. She said that they (Ticketmaster) would likely know the for sale date by Monday. So, I'm hoping toolband might say something tomorrow or this weekend.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
OK. THAT makes me feel better. I bet they hate me at ticketmaster. I've been calling them everyday since the reschedule announcement about when the shows would be. Truthfully. I'm still too impatient. I'll probably call everyday until its announced.
