Dissolving and reforming so quickly I seem only to flicker.
Since the Orlando show is going on sale Jan. 7th, I'm gonna guess that will be the on sale date for Charlotte too. Seems fair enough since so many folks will be traveling these next two weekends. I'll still be checking every day just in case though, hah.
I don't have the exact date yet, but it looks like tickets for the FEBRUARY 3rd HAMPTON, VA show, and the FEBRUARY 4th CHARLOTTE, NC show both go on sale the first weekend in January. When I get more specifics, I will post.
Unfortunately the brokers already have claims on some of the best seats. They've been selling tix on line for over a week now. To be honest, I think the floor seats about mid way back are some of the best ones anyway because of Junior's light show.
Ya, I'm hoping for seats like that. It's a smaller venue.
Now three other people want to go. Originally it was gonna be two tickets. Is it even worth the risk trying to get 5 together with decent seats? I don't want to waist time going for that and not get it then also miss out on getting just 2.
Fack, I was going for 5 any price while my girlfriend somewhere else went for 2 and my friend for his 3 in case the 5 didn't work out.
I got in fast right when they opened and right away said no tickets, didn't even do the waiting in line thing. My girlfriend didn't get tickets either (shit!). I called my friend getting his 3 and he got them so I told him to go for it while I kept searching for 2. Finally got them though, thought I was gonna have to resort to stubhub.
Section 121 Mezzanine and my friend got 115 in the back.
Staying off the forums after the first concert so the set list is a surprise this time, See you all there!
Long time lurker here. First post! Hey guys!!
This will be my 5th time seeing tool and my gf's first time! Soooo excited!
We had 3 computers with the page qued up an my gf an i tried with all 3 to see which got the best tickets, hit refresh constantly from 9:59 till about 30 seconds after 10 when they went on sale.
The first one we got up were the best seats we could find and the others when we tried to refresh immediately started to become extremely crappy seats within 2 minutes of the sale starting.
I wonder if that 30 second delay is held so the retailers can get the good seats they've already been selling online?
Ended up with seats in section 116, row N. Does anyone know if row N is up front or in the bleachers? Either way we dont care as its right in the middle!!
After about 7 tries around 10:30 I got floor seats in the mid/back of RGT. After i bought those I kept trying to see what else was still available. Never got floor seats to show up again but I saw a few box seats, circle section, and plenty of close seats on the side.
I hate TM though... for some reason it didn't even show as on sale for me in any broswer until about 10:15 (yet it did on my iPhone on 3G...). I hate how TM does things like that. Anyways, now they blocked my IP entirely and I get a 403 forbidden error... at least I got my tickets :)
Anyone know if this show is really floor seated or if the floor is actually GA? If I remember correctly, last time Tool came to Charlotte the floor was GA. Ive been to a few shows where I showed up and it was actually GA.
The 09 show was GA and i'm pretty sure it said it on the ticket as well. I don't think my feet touched the ground the first few songs in that set, crowd was really rough so I went with seats today. One of my friends got 3 in 111 also. I searched about 5-6 times and two results were in 115 (which I went for), the others were also along the back section, and one on a corner. I'm dead center along the back so I guess that's not too bad.
Only thing i'm pulling up now during searches is side stage seats.
wow...i might ruffle a few feathers with the story of my luck but here goes....
Got on the internet at 10:05 on the dot, searched for six tickets in gold circle (I've done floor, I prefer to be stage level on a corner towards the opposite end of the stage so that I can get the full visual effect), and when i searched i got nothing. Searched for six in the lower level and nothing, mezzaine nothing, six tickets anywhere available and NOTHING!!!! I went a little bizzerk in my head and immediately got on the phone with the TM 1-800 number. After holding for TWENTY SEVEN minutes, I finally got someone on the line and explained to him that I wanted six tickets together anywhere in the arena but couldn't get them on the site. He searched a few times and after declining several options he gave, he finally said that he had located six tickets, together, in the gold circle section. Section 119, Row J, 1-6!!!!!!!
Good for you! We had a similar story. Multiple computers logged on right at 10:00, and nothing. Over and over. No answer on the phone line. Finally we just relented and paid stubhub prices. Funny, how half the seats were on sale through various brokers over a week ago!!!
Just a little something to think about. Seats are completely sold out through Ticketmaster, not even singles. Stubhub currently has 1,325, ticketsnow 497 & Vivid Seats has 423. This works out to about 24% of the total tickets.
I know it's not easy to wait to get tickets until a day or two before the show, but tickmaster ALWAYS releases some really good seats at the last minute. I scored some pretty sweet tickets to the Pearl shows in Vegas a couple years ago, and on their mini-theater tour back in 06.
Does anyone know where row N is in section 116? Is it up at the very top? Id rather be closer to the front then all the way in the back, an i have seen a few tickets for sale at face value in section 116 at the very front. Could essentially buy new tickets then sell mine. From what i understand though there's not really a bad seat in that coliseum.
Mattamus If you use yahoo search engine . Search bojangles seating chart . Then go to bojangles seating chart image results . It will show u various images and u can see exactly where u are seated. You have circle seats in front of you rows a through c . Then in your section are rows d through r . So that means you are 14 rows up from the floor and there are 18 rows from the floor to the top . You are 4 rows from the last row at the back of the coliseum . With that being said . It is a small venue and you will be almost center stage . They are good seats you will be able to see all the visuals and the sound will be great from that distance . I sat in section 112 for the July 29,2009 Tool show. You will be pleased trust me .
I know right . LOL . I guess tha restaurant chain decided to advertise their chain at our coliseum . I wonder if they give the bands and or performers that use that venue free chicken ? LOl . I prefer KFC no offense Mr. Bojangles. Only in the South Yee Haw . Thats a old ass venue and I have seen alot of rock shows there . Iron Maiden GNR Motley Crue Aerosmith Mr. David Lee Roth has even surfed out intothe crowed there . That was back in the day when you could take in a bottle of whiskey and a couple of your own rolled lefty cigs . And blaze up and share with your neighbor. If you know what I mean . Ahhh that was the good old days Ga floors and no metal detectors . Back to reality. This old red neck southern boy cut his teeth on rock and roll at that venue. I am amazed its still there.
I had to work on the morning tickets went on sale. I told my boss I had to go leave work for about an hour or so and didn't specify why. I'm glad she didn't ask. Turned on my laptop at fifteen till ten and got on TM website. I started trying for two tickets right at ten o'clock using "best available". It popped up two in the top at the back of the arena but I went to the '09 show and had side stage seats with a great view and great sound so I gave them up hoping for better. For the next fifteen minute I was cussing at the screen because I was getting that f-ing no tickets found message. Then with a nod from the rock n roll gods two in sec 108 row J. I hope they are as good as I remember.

Wes thank you soo much for the answer! I was able to find a detailed seating chart like you said. I might buy the tickets for row 116 - A and then sell my tickets to friends or on here. Either way it seems like an amazing place to see Tool since its a small venue! Ive done the GA crazy floor thing when i was younger at Tool shows and although it was amazing now in my older age i like to have seats in case my state of mind becomes too mushy from the room. ;)
AHHHHHH IM SOOOO EXCITED!! My GF who has never seen a tool concert is deff in for a treat!
haha i would think the bojangles chicken name was weird if i didn't see the food chain all over NC. Are they really going to have a tent there? I wouldn't eat it before what i plan on eating, but that still would be awesome. Free chicken & biscuits before tool haha
Hey guys, I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but I'm going to go ahead and let you know that they are going to release more tickets. Any time there is a big show like this, the venue releases only a certain number of tickets at a time. I have been through this so many times and I freak out and then go to ebay or stub hub and shell out way too much money just to find out that they have released more tickets and they are better seats than the ones I just bought. Just keep going back to the site a couple times a day over the next couple of weeks and there will be more.
Igot my tickets the day they went on sale. Sect 115 row a. Those are right behind the railing separating the floor from the circle seats right? either way i think ive got some pretty good seats. from the pic on the seating chart it looks like ill be elevated a good few feet above the floor and have a nice view
Yeah man, those are pretty good seats and the venue is rather small. Because of the show they have been putting on since the start of the 10,000 days tour, they have used all kinds of visual effects and as of late they have pretty much turned the floor of the stage into a canvas for the light show as well. In any case, there really isnt a bad seat in the house. I have seen the show from the floor and from the stands and I have not been disappointed so far. The best seats I was able to score were section 124 row K. Im on the next rail back. See you all there.
