Because 46&2 is refering to chromossomes dna and stuff, maybe the title of this song "Useful idiot", is like a dude with only 38 cromossomes, that hasn't realize that the vynil has ended, a idiot. Still, it's useful because in order to reach this present state of evolution (44&2) we had to pass his phase. So, Useful Idiot is a song about our previous state of evolution (most of the plants have 38 chromossomes,and it's one of the inicial life form), and 46&2 it's our next step of evolution. True. But i think the term is used soley because the track has no meaning other than to join two tracks together i.e useful 'cause thats what it does idiot 'cause it has no meaning. thats what i always think anyways.
