Yes! Ditto! Can't wait.

Does anybody here want to meet up before/for the show?

Also I have an extra ticket, but nowhere to stay and no camping gear. Looking to sell extra ticket OR trade for accommodation.

One month away!

I'd like to meet any fellow Tool fans over there!

How was it? Was the show at the foot of a pyramid?

seeing the vids, I'm glad that Tool clamps down on cell phones and vids being filmed. Seeing all those lit up screens sucks!

The whole "playing in front of pyramid " thing sounds sick. Is their any vids?

Re: March 21st - Cumbre Tajin Festival

The festival takes place in a Theme Park which is located 1km away from the actual Tajin Ruins, so it's not literally "beside" the pyramid, but there certainly is a special vibe in the place. Every night there is a ritual to bless the stage before the concerts begin... I'll try to find a vid and post it.

Junior - I too live in Thousand Oaks and I totally saw you a bunch in Mexico. Weird. The bird guys were so cool, I was mesmerized as the dude laid down while it was spinning not tied off to anything either... Were you able to go to the night time tour at Tajin? They purify you with leaves and smoke before you are allowed to enter. Thanks for such a great show man - the visuals were incredible that night.

Re: March 21st - Cumbre Tajin Festival

Yes. That really was the best part.
Didn't get to see or explore anything while there.

After the Mexico City show, 5 of us (crew) got up early (5:30am) to catch an early flight to El Tajin airport, with plans of going to the festival site at around 11am as an advance team to get some details sorted out. 11 hours, and 3 cancelled flights (weather at El Tajin) later, we drove an hour to a different airport to join the rest of the crew on a private charter.
Arriving at El Tajin Airport around 7pm, we were then driven an hour to the festival hotel. After a 60 minute nap, we left for the festival site at around 9:30pm. 2 hours of bumpy roads later, we were at the festival site around 11:30pm. Jack Johnson was still playing.
Once he finished, the festival crew re-arranged their lights to simulate our tour setup. Programming began around 3 or 4am and continued through the arrival of our sound and back line crew (6am) up until about 9am. Then, a 2 hour bumpy ride back to the hotel for a few hours sleep followed by another 2 hour bumpy ride back to the festival at 4pm.
Spent an hour working on some lighting stuff for Puscifer, and before you know it they were on stage.
