Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Does anyone here know the REAL DEAL? I had originally heard/seen information that Tool would be performing on these dates....at these places. Now I see this info nowhere. Anyone know what's up with that?
Tool- August 12th- Sovereign Bank Arena- Trenton, N.J
Tool- October 29th- Wachovia Center- Philadelphia, Pa.
( they are also scheduled to play at The Tweeter Center in Camden on September 28th but unfortunetly my computer was down when the tics went on sale)
ANY info would be appreciated!

I know these questions have been asked a MILLION times but I have yet to get a straight, consistant answer.
Who's opening for the US tour and how long do they generally play for because I've heard everything from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours. That's all...

true. Zenith sucks. It is a long, high warehouse, with the stage at one end. Sound is (obviously) miserable further in the back, and because the hall is quite slim, there's not much space near stage.

Dont worry... if you remember from past touring schedules, Tool will play in every city known to have at a heavy/moderate prog rock market appeal. That will/has include(d) knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta and others.

tool are playing the point depot dublin on the 22ND november.fantastic..i was just at hammersmith the first gig..and as the point is a much bigger venue it promises to be quite a night!thanks tool for coming!im getting myself near the mixing desk..otherwise ill be deafened near the front!i dont think they have ever played the point before just the sfx and punchestown racecourse in 2002..where they opened with flood..unexpected but what a performance. apparently maynard asked if there were any fans over from ireland in hammersmith!

anything that is on ticketmaster is for sure unless someone else flies a plane into a building. that is the only reason i saw last tour that a show got cancelled. i purchased tickets to minn and am looking forward to it. dont worry they will be there.

I see Tool is hitting the UK and Ireland in November, and the last dates so far in North America are in late September. Maybe Kabir or Chris has more insight to this, but I am really getting pissed that they haven't even touched the South yet(Texas doesn't count.) Or are they going to be hitting the South bigtime in the spring?
This is for all our friends in Australia who have been sending emails (that's right, computers down under!) asking whether or not the blokes in Tool will soon be paying them a visit. Although we appreciate your enthusiasm, I'm sorry to say that at this point in time there are no confirmed dates. That said, unofficially speaking, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about Tool performing in one of their favorite places on the earth (even if you're past the black stump). So, how do I get my point across to you guys with the kookas on your socks? Okay, let's put it this way: Be more concerned about venomous creatures such as Sea-Wasps and Blue-Bottles, Blue-Ringed octopi, toxic snakes, Red Backs, male Tree-Dwelling Funnel-Web spiders, paralytic ticks, cone snails, and those as-of-yet undiscovered prehistoric hummingbirds that can kill a grown man (even if he's wearing an akubra) in three seconds by just looking at him with their beady black eyes. Be more concerned about that Huntsman in the family portrait hanging asymmetrically on your wall. Worry more about there being no more tinnies of lager in the esky, or someone squeezing ketchup on your Ponsonby meat-pie (or even worse, a life-threatening razor crust wound from your Mrs. Mac.) Worry about a saltie biting Kylie in that sweet ass of hers, or the bloke with all the gristle in his third pie floater shooting a fairy while you're trying to have a relaxing pub lunch (knocking the Huntsmen off the wall and into your Victoria Bitters... crikey!). Worry about a kanga darting in front of the ambo, about "Men at Work" reforming, about the price of designer akubras, about chunder on your bathers, about blowies on the vegemite, about your frigid digit while around the jillaroos, about running out of dunny paper, about a canary Holden, about the bunyip from the billabong, about the thingummy-bob you need to buy, BUT don't worry too much about Tool paying a visit down under. Yes, worry about kookaburras on your carpet grubs, or, hell, even about a dingo eating your baby... but don't worry about Tool while you're trying to push up zeds. Furphy?.. I think not... like a pimple on a pumpkin. So, hang on a tick. G'day!

Re: So is Tool hitting any of the South this tour?
HEY! Why doesn't TEXAS count>? TEXAS IS the SOUTH.....TEXAS iS ALL THAT COUNTS hehehehehe----
I'm not really that crazy WHHOOOO HHOOOO YAY TEXAS!! kind of guy...but I do live in that state and of the 3 other states I've been in Texas was the coolest so far....but yea baby! September 12 in SanAntonio!!! I'm ALL OVER THAT!!!

Just everyone keep your fingers crossed that they do NOT play Big Day Out... much rather see them by themselves.
Probably not likely unless they were given 90-120 min to play, and only if they were headlining, and given that the best bet is RHCP at this point, making Tool appearing even less likely.
Also they will probably be playing the US during this time...I think March/april like the last time they came would be realistic
On the last tour Tool played smaller cities like Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Hamilton, etc. What do you think the chances are that they'll play smaller cities like that again? I'm thinking Fargo, Winnipeg, etc. who just got nice fancy shmancy new arenas ;-)
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Does anyone know the artist/song(s) name of the haunting organ music played before Tool took to the stage on the 2002 Summer Lateralus tour? Sounded A Clockwork Orange-ish. I've only been able to get cryptic, sarcastic answers from Blair. But I wouldn't expect anything less. . .
