I've been a Tool fan since Opiate and this is the one song I just can't get my head around all the lyrics of.
And the final frontier of this of this is the chorus.
None of the "official" lyrics I read seem to clarify just what is ACTUALLY being sung in the chours. And it's driving me crazy! And it's weird because this is my favorite Tool song, and I feel I know what the song is about and already have a completely realized opinion about what the song means to me. But these chorus lyrics! Ugh! What are they?
Album version: pushing and shoving me you still love me, you still love me, shit in me, shit on me. you still love me, you still love me. shit in me, shit on me.
Also during one live version of the song it can cleary be heard:

I always hear "steal off me, steal off me, shoot at me, shit on me" for that part on the album version
listening to it again "still love me" may be said once. but I know hear "steal" on one of those for both choruses.
I believe the "steal" that you're hearing is over-annunciation of "still," so it sounds sort of like "steel," with a long "E" sound."
On another note, though, for the longest time I thought I heard the chorus as:
"You still love me, still love me, you cheated me, spit on me...." and then it continues on as above. I'm believing less and less that my interpretation is correct as far as the literal lyrics, but I still catch myself singing it that way in my head and otherwise.

nah I'm pretty sure it's "steal" at least one of the times. I also don't hear a "love would make more sense if it was still.

geee...some things are written but he sings them in a different way, changes ect...what's your problem? I write what I think and hear and it's my opinion. and I do not insult anyone by saying it.. You may not agree with me but don't shout at me ok?:-/
he just pronounces the word pushit differently, sometimes making it sound like "push it" and sometimes like "pu shit." and about looking up the lyrics, like it says on the pagem, they are blueprints, and many of those lyric pages are missing entire sections and have lines that are clearly not exactly what is sung on the album.

Wow, I hope he was joking. All the changes in the lyrics durring recording/perfomring. The lyrics posted might be what Maynard has written down, but he has the freedom to sing them anyway he wants, and if you read the lyrics, you see he uses this freedom many times.
