Extended Versions
This pertains to live shows and not the studio album, but this was the best place to post it.
1. Ive got a bunch of bootlegs that have stinkfist with "white lines" lyrics in it, is that something maynard made up or what is that?
2. I know 3rd eye is a 13-15 min long song already, but do yall know if they have ever extended it or modified it in a live show and done something different with it besides the intros?

what are you looking for in the extensions? I'm just curious because I never really put much thought in to it, but would like to know why your on this mission. It seems interesting.
On the Ænima tour after a few months, they began to extend stinkfist with that middle section "jam". then in 98 (maybe 97) maynard added the suspicious minds lines. on the lateralus tour, maynard sang the white lines lyrics instead.

i was surprised you didnt say anything about my first post in this thread lol
but srsly youtube has good recent tool stuff. just poke around it doesnt take long to find stinkfist extended or some other semi rare shit. i say semi because its not really rare, but people seem to think it is.
wonder why I never saw this thread. No one answered this guy's questions.

2. They've done a couple of different things to it...they'll change up what samples they use, sometimes using Leary, sometimes Hicks, sometimes both. Very rarely they also did an extended version, check out 2002-11-23 for an example. ~20 minute version that night; I wonder how much of that was improv..?
