too bad they play in the afternoon in full sun on the mainstage. Deftones in the previous slot, just like the bill of 2001 (but no "Passenger duet at the time). Bands playing after Tool are Manu Chao, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Black Eyed Peas.

I really thougt of going to Luxembourg, but it is difficult to get a day off. But if you can't go to Luxembourg, Pinkpop is also a good alternitive. In fact, I'm going to both festivals.
TOOL + open air + daylight > TOOL + Sportpaleis Antwerp
My intestins have better acoustics than that steal box.

I saw them @ ozzfest 02 nijmegen in the bright daylight.. and apart from the brilliant performance I missed the 'tool experience'... I hope it rains at werchter :-) !!

ha, i'm allready happy they come back to belgium again after 4 years! so whatever it's daylight or not, i'm sure i will be in a higher atmosphere.... is there anyone who is going to werchter planning to bootleg the show?????
someone should kill manu chau or the peppers, maybe tool can play at night then :p jk

Yes, I was there in Leuven. Then I got the dissapointing fact of sold out albums, while there were just three people before me. By waiting, I missed also the night launch at Stubru. Pearl Jam cd's however, were plentyfull. So if Pearl Jam would play at Werchter, considering the fan basis. They should play befor Manu Chao. I'm still trying to rationalize this.

It's too bad about the timing of this gig so early in the evening, But it's still better than watching the BEP:) Kinda reminds me of those morons at the Lowlands Festival who planned DJ Shadow at 3 in the afternoon. Some people just don't get it.....

Was also there in Leuven. No way to rationalise the fact that a) Tool are fucking populare around here now and b) that still does not give them any more credit in the eyes of commercialist scumbag concert promotors (or sponsors, given the lukewarm response 10.000 Days got in Humo). Fuck 'em.

Although i'm seeing TOOL two times in 3 days, i definitally don't like the idea of them playing in bright sunlight. I hope the organisation re-arranges the line-up.

lol, i really don't think so unless there's someone cancelling... peppers before tool, lol i wish, but you know: impossible, black eyed peas for tool? HELL YEAH but you know: impossible, manu chao for tool? FUUUUUUUCK YEAH but you know: impossible, all those last names are just stubru music AND shitty donna music, they have a much larger commercial base and stuff like that, so they don't going to listen to some toolfans which are saying: tool should play at night!!! the biggest commercial bands allways play more at the end of the day, nothing we can do about it, except hoping that some other band want to cancell their show

Be sure to get there a little early.. Everybody who has a four-day ticket needs to get their arm-bracelet on thursday, so that usually takes a while.. i think last year i lost about an hour just queuing to get in..

Thank you to remember this, I almost forgot. To me the best place to experience the concert is after the first corridor: good view en good sound. Although I have to withstand some moshpits during The Deftones, there is where I will stand. By the way, the left side always has more space than the right.
