Downloaded it out of curiosity. I'll buy it; maybe not on May 2nd, because I'm pretty freaking broke, but instead it might have to wait until I get a paycheck from a new job. If I need to buy a new CD, I will buy it when the old one is unusable; my Lateralus cracked a little a few years ago but after a couple days the sound quality was exactly the same as it had been before; it didn't even skip in triad after about three plays (the outside is where it cracked, a cm towards the center, but no one cares about that, even me anymore)

I'm buying it May 2nd. Period.
I'm quite happy having listened to it before it came out, though... I'm gonna be spreading how amazing it is to other friends, and get their asses convinced to buy it. THERE's a plus side to downloading. I was totally not convinced from Vicarious (tho i admittedly love it 10x more in context with the entire album), and now that ive listened to the entire album, i am SO stoked to get my grubby lil paws on it.

It's not lame. A lot of people have been waiting for this album for a long time (including myself). I definitely don't want my first experience of it to be an illegal leaked copy with no artwork. The entire package is part of the enjoyment of a Tool album.

I mean, people here complain about not being able to wait, and they'll buy a copy anyway and blah blah blah, but after so much anticipation it just seems absurd that people can't put their minds to something else and just wait a couple of weeks longer and enjoy the album in its entirety.

I already know this Saturday is going to be a fucking blast for me (not just because of the album; I'm also seeing Adrian Belew that night) so I salute all the others who have hung in there for the actual release.

I'm gonna buy it, open it, rip it, and store it, just like I did with Lateralus (it's still in really good condition ... and it has the typo! Fuck yeah, it's an original first batch!).

Absolutely I'll buy this...and that's saying something, I only purchase 3-5 discs a year now, and that's a good year. Last year I think I only bought one.

Of course I will buy it. I still don't like it and no, I didn't get the same exhilarating feeling which I got from hearing the previous albums for the very first time. I will buy it, even if it turned out to be not what I expected.

Ive purchased multiple copies of undertow and lateralus simply bc i litterally wear the cds out. I will most certainly be buying this album, and its very likely that a year or two down the road ill buy it again.

I'm going to buy two...one for home and one so I can bring the great stereoscopic packaging to movies and eat drugs.

without any questions. each tool album is a MUST in a perfect cd-collection.

the band can't blame their fans for not being patient as they like. they are definitly toooooooo genious to wait just one more day.

downloading the leak before buying the album is not an act of disrespect. it's an act of being totally and uncontrollable in love with their music.

I will be buying it the morning of May 2nd. I will get up early to go and get it and when the album get's worn out in a few years I will buy it again (like I have done with Aenima and Lateralus).

I was weak and leaked. But it changes nothing of my buying plans.

When I heard the album was leaked i was a little disapointed, but not surprised to say the least. I wanted to abstain till the albums actual resles date, but, the more people i talked to who said "have you heard the new Tool album yet?". It started to get to me. Being the Biggest Tool fan I know I felt soooo ripped off that all these other ppl who hadn't wait 5 years for the next masterpeice we're hearing it weeks before i was. So I listened to it, and was blown away track after track. I will be athe the record store in Brisbane Australia, that opens up at 12 midnight to be one of the 1st ppl in Brisbane at least, to support the band a purchase the album. At least we still have the album art to look forward to :) Keep up the amazing work guys, Tool have gotten me through some of the roughest parts of my life, and for that I feel I owe them somthing. Buying their albums is the least I can do.
