Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Both me and my buddy got the "Tickets not available" screen 30 secs after they went on sale. I was able to get a single ticket but I wanted a pair to take a friend of mine. Oh well, Row C Orchestra left side.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
I was looking to get 5 tickets... Everytime i tried i got no tickets available (5 tickets, 4 tickets, 3 tickets, 2 tickets)... I finally said fuck it and went for a single ticket and got one. Did that 4 more times and got a ticket every time. Although me and my buddies are pissed we are spread out all over the venue we will all be at the show on that glorious night.... The End.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
There's definitely still hope for those of us who didn't get tickets this time around. I was lucky enough to get tickets for both "Pearl" shows last April, and a couple days before the shows I did a search for tickets and ended up getting 1st row Center Balcony, so I scooped 'em up and sold my others at the show.
Just keep checking...

This is exactly how I get all my tickets for Tool shows...Like a day or two before the show, EVERY venue releases REALLY good seats for some reason...Only once have I not been within the first ten rows dead center...Just keep checking and be patient

Ok, in all seriousness, for the life of me I cannot understand why there haven't been more No CA dates. I have friends and family up there so if they did play, it would be very easy for me to get up there.
In the meantime, you No CA folks should know you're more than welcome down here and it's just a cheap flight and hotelroom in downtown away. So make it happen!

Yup, the college budget totally lets room for that ;) haha, I would be really down to go, and hell, if it came down to it, go into overdraft for a Tool day in LA, but its my freinds who are a lil' more consious about money. Even if they are just as big a fans as me...especially after the Reno show with maynard being all gay and emo with the short set (I'd be pissed about having to play Reno too!), but most of my buddies are kinda sketch about driving 4 hours to see Tool again...
Oh, and there will be a date! Just you wait and see!

So what are the odds of a second show opening up in L.A.?

Gotta be some kind of conflict though. They've had that second night scheduled, and now suddenly it's not. Doesn't make too much sense unless there is something either on the band or the venue's part that is keeping it from happening.

Yeah, I'd have to think more so with the band than anything as Nokia has openings up until the 16th or so. I still tend to believe that the two-nighter is going to happen but maybe the second date will not necessarily be the very next night a la Hamilton, Ontario this past summer.

Hm, interesting thought. They seem to have done most multiple performances in a single city on back to back nights. The Nokia only seats 7100. Like I said earlier, Tool could easily sell that place out four nights. Wonder if maybe they decide on a final LA show in a larger venue instead?

yeah, you would think they'd want to sell out a much larger arena, maybe that's why the second LA date hasn't happened yet. I really would be surprised if LA didn't get a second show.

Bigger arena makes sense. More moneyderos for them. We shall see, I really want to see them at this new Nokia theatre. Looks like from the reviews that its very similar to the Pearl. That night when I saw them there was freaking unbelievable. I was in the pit.

Well, that's definitely a good example (along with the opening theater tour they ran after Coachella). I think the band really likes playing the smaller venues. And now that the trend for these new venues is to make it so they can acommodate an arena size show, yet have seats that are no further than about 200 ft from the stage, the obvious solution is for the band to schedule multiple nights at said venue. Just like the Eagles did for the last five nights at the Nokia.
I mean come on, Tool sold out two nights at Staples Center instantly last time out and that place seats 12,000! Hmph- just not sure what the hell the problem is adding a few more shows right away.
I'm greedy as hell it turns out when it comes to Tool- already seen them 10 times on this tour! I just really love 10k Days. Good stuff and, as you know Angel, seeing them do it in a small place like the Pearl is a once in a lifetime event!
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
JESUS TITTY FUCKING CHRIST I'VE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT THEM PLAYING BILL GRAHAM!!!! I'm so at peace with myself after Reno now, but here comes the ticketmaster dilemma...far from having a ticket yet!
LA kids, I'm sure they'll come back to LA, maybe even make a swoop up north, because your right, they sold out Staples twice, I'm sure this was just already in the works.
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Still no word on the opener? I've been checking everywhere, everyday to see if TMV is opening.. B/c that would complete me.. Either way, I know Tool will have a badass opening band, so no need to worry, but TMV would just blow me away..
Re: General Tool tour questions / discussion (merged)
Facking crap!!! Who is TMV?

I second this. This would be the greatest concert I could conceive of.

From Live 105 I'm guessing? I didn't think there are any presales for this, and I'm not so sure they'll release the prime seats for the presale anyway.
