I'm talking about u saying the artwork isn't the same. Clearly it is, the grayscale has brought up more detail because the contrast between colours isn't there. Making certain things easier to see then before. It has been flipped horizontaly, also.

Any other changes too subtle to notice. This artwork is a few years old, it is recycled. Sure its a nice peice, but it isn't very original after Lateralus.

Try turning down your brightness and looking at the original artwork. You will see the spirals under the lips. As for the curls, they don't appear to be on that one part of the artwork that I have found. I haven't seen the whole thing.

Either way, it's the same artwork + some [maybe?] curlier eyebrows and a grayscale. I don't see how that isn't recycled.

We have to remember that we don't have a good scan/copy of the original artwork available to compare it with, just some shots from a few meters back with a standard camera and really bad lighting.

Tool would have had a high quality source of the artwork to manipulate.

There's no way that's the cover art, looking at how intricate and awesome the art for Lateralus and Aenima was, that just doesn't seem to be the design they'd settle on. Way too straightforward for a band like Tool. Like others have said, just wait.

I believe he stated that they needed to supply an image that had the Band name and album name on the art work. Which they have never done before for amazon. Makes things even more suspect.
