Laugh the fuck out loud on that one. Damn skippy. Though I am stumped on why Adam's myspace page has the same image as amazon does now.

I seriously give up.

Yeah I posted this before that news was posted, however read my posts within that thread. The Alex Grey piece is the cover, just not with the logos.

That hasn't been confirmed. That Alex Grey piece has only been confirmed as a "mini" - an advertising piece for the album.

Blair writes in his post that he's been getting a lot of feedback about "this particular piece of cover art". It's the cover to something apparently.

Yeah. It is a "piece" of the cover art. I'm guessing that means the cover will have layers or something (similar to Lateralus).

I still think the best joke would be the one where April 1st comes and goes and absolutely nothing happens. All the self-professed toolofiles with their dicks in their hands waiting for a charade to play out which never existed. Would that not be the better joke? And all the more-so because Tool would have done absolutely nothing to facilitate it. It'd be like a self-fulfilling prophecy only in joke form, and aimed at MUCH better targets than the local record store or the dudes who update Amazon.com.

A weak hoax this would be if it were just a re-hash of the Lateralus tom-foolery. Here's the response every "duped believer" will have in the event this is a prank: Whoopti shit. They told us the album and song titles and later said it was just a joke. Big fucking deal.

The targets from Lateralus don't exist today, at least not in the same manner they existed back then. Face it. This joke is simply not available to be played out again. I have no doubt they all realize this. For them to do it anyway would be very disappointing.

The band has mentioned that the sound of the new album is a lot heavier, and Maynard has mentioned something to the fact of the lyrics dealing with more "mundane" subject matter. Nothing wrong with stripping down and starting over fresh, and it shows that Tool are not as pretentious as we might think....and I'm sure the music will be just as "complex" and awesome as ever.

Or it could all be the usual Tool hoax.

Just a thought.
I like what you said.
It´s a theory.

" ALBUM MINI NOW ON AMAZON AND OTHERS

Some of you may have seen the album mini for Tool’s 10,000 Days on Amazon and on other sites that was posted ONE DAY after we showed it to you on this site (which is what we expected, and why we posted it when we did). Now that it’s out there for all to see, hopefully some of you who have been asking what exactly an album mini is might have a better idea. For those who still don’t know, it’s what a business (such as Amazon) uses to advertise a new product (such as the new Tool CD). Okay? Now, I can hear some of you saying to yourself: “But why does the image on Amazon and the other sites have the logo and album title superimposed over the artwork… when the image on the Tool websites doesn’t?” The answer is quite simple. Because Amazon and others need to include the band’s name and album title along with the artwork so that potential customers will know whose CD it is (don’t ask me why). With that said, the image that we posted on the Tool websites is how this piece of artwork will actually look with the packaging. However, we also wanted to give you a look at the new logo, so we placed it above the album mini. Okay? Just one last thing for now: I’ve been reading many of the comments on the TA message board (as well as those flooding my in-box) about this particular piece of cover art, and I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate some of your personal thoughts and perceptive insight into the symbology and deeper levels of the striking imagery. It seems that a few of you (those who have commented on the artwork) are also anticipating ‘the bigger picture’ – that which you’ve become accustomed to over the years when it comes to Tool’s art direction. Well, to you, I will only say that you will not be disappointed… and that the key is right there before your very eyes.

I don't know what the fuck is wrong with all these idiots on this board. Stop whining about how shitty the album is, you didn't even heard it, fuckers! Ok, the title is boring and some of the songtitles suck, but the majority of the titles sounds cool and in my opinion, the artwork is awesome!
But the guys who are denying that the whole infos about the album are fake suck even more. I'm really looking forward to laugh about them.

It fits perfectly!!!!!

The title and tracklist (but not the artwork) has now been added to www.hmv.co.uk . Link: http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayP...;-1&sku=401043. "Tool - TBD" with the somewhat strange release date of 29 May has been listed on the same site for some weeks.
