Whats your favorite song on this album?? mine is hmm, i dont have one, the one that stands out teh most is jerk-off and cold and ugly is the best overall, but i dont havea favorite.
Sweat or Part Of Me, both great songs. But this is my least favorite Tool album, so it's kind of hard to say.

hehe, today i got called down to the "detectives" office at school today for writing "I should play GOD and shoot you myself." they had me in handcuffs in the office talking to me like i'm six years old about how they have a NO TOLERANCE thing here and crap like that. i told them that the word YOU represents my ignorance. but nooo. they said that they wouldn't tolerate it. needless to say Intolerance came into my head. haha.... i need a life...

I'll have to go 'Cold and Ugly'. I'm totally addicted to that opening guitar riff... I can't go without playing it whenever I plug my guitar in with distortion! So damn satisfying, and Maynard's voice is on top form in the recording too.

You rule man, I like the whole "YOU is referring to my ignorance". I'll have to agree, Opiate and Jerk-Off. Maynards just SCREAMING at the climax of Jerk-Off. It's one of the most adrenalizing songs ever!!

when i was first getting into the cd it was hush, probally because it was simple in comparison to the rest of tool, then it became part of me cause i love more the drums of a song excluding vocals. i always skipped over sweat for some reason that is beyond me an currently thats i'm hooked on, on the opiate cd.
mainly because of the line:
"it doesn't matter what's right.
It's only wrong if you get caught"
it's just so damn true, and one of the most clever lines I have ever heard.
Also, there's always the Toolgasm at the end of the song...... "shoot you in your fucking head." :) Great song all around.
The rest of the songs are on the same level to me. I guess I tend to listen to "Opiate" more then the other tracks, but I can't really put any of them in oder.

Jerk-off For sure
that song can totally beat up your favorite song on this cd, unless your favorite is also jerk off... in which case theyd tie!
Fo sho!
id have to go with cold and ugly because it is just such a damn good song. especially after seeing it preformed live, i love how maynard adds a lateralus feel to the song and almost makes it feel like new.
I'll go with Jerk-Off and Cold & Ugly. I really like Part of Me as well, along with Hush. Excluding Sweat will be blasphemy, and The Gaping Lotus Experience is so funny! But for a favourite, however hard it is to pick, I'll go with Opiate.

l'll agree with Andy on this one...Opiate is my personal best. Although l love the rest of the album as well. :)

damn, hardly anyone said hush...how can you resist that crazy maynard yelling "FUCK YOU" at the top of his lungs? Plus that was the first tool song i ever heard. But id have to say that opiate is a close 2nd.
Cold and Ugly: Mainly because at the start when he says "Throw that Bob Marley wanna-be motherfuckr outta here" and "(You know?) there was a bunch of assholes that lived in this part of the apartment(?) before, but we systematically removed thm lik you would any termit or 'roach.
well, hush and part of me are my least favorite on the album.. the best depends on my mood at that particular time.. right now its sweat..
yeah hush and part of me, while still awesome, are just not up to par with all of tool's other marks of greatness
