I just moved here (central Virginia) from Houston, TX.......... apparently now I have to drive 5 fucking hours to see Tool. What a pain in the ass. I'll do it though... seen them 5 times in Houston.... I bet this show will be worth it.
I'm thinking lawn seats... I just hope I can get there in time through the DC traffic... I wish this show was on a weekend.
If you are heading that way from Charlottesville, don't bother going near DC. Drive all the way up using 81 North. You will make it up there without tearing out your hair. See you there.

I would agree (spending lots of time in C'ville myself) but going through DC IS faster depending on the time of day. Very early or between the rush hours and you can fly right through, 29 N to 66 E to 495 N to 95 to 295.
Speaking of moving to C'ville, there's a lot of music in that town, especially with the new downtown pavilion and JPJ Arena.
If anyone wants to meet up at this show let me know. I am going down with 4 friends. Also what time does tool actually come on I know when I saw the Upper Darby show it wasnt until like 9:45 and they didn have a opening band so I am guessing around 10pm is that accurate?

going by typical concerts and I believe there is a 11 o'clock curfew. I would expect Isis to end by 8:40 and Tool to start by 9-9:15

i wouldnt miss isis if i were you guys, they are f#ckin awesome in my opinion anyways. i missed out on the tower show and was pretty bummed about that, but now i'm going to this show which i expect should be much better so its all good. just saw that the band is headed back to europe for Nov and Dec and I guess Oct is wine harvest time. i was thinking of holding out for a DC area show, but glad i didnt now, its kinda f#&kd how they announced the dates for this tour.
Saw Pearl Jam at Camden 2 months ago, they played until 11:35 on Sat, and 11:15 on Sunday(if memory is correct). However judging by the warm up tour I would safe bet is Tool will finish by 11 pm. If you go in at 10, I bet you miss half the show.

Ill be in there by 9:00 thanks for the responses looks like Ill have to leave work a hour early to get some good tail gating done.
yay
i got my ticket today. 202 row D, i think that's a good view, better than being stuck on the side. i really don't want to watch Justin or Adam the whole time, i'd like to see the whole band :)

That's crazy. I went online at exactly 11:00 saturday morning and I ended up with section 200, row N, seats 13 and 14. Lol. I'm stuck on the side like you didn't want to be, but it's my first Tool concert, so I'd be happy anywhere. To quote someone else, "I can now die a happy (wo)man". Hope to see you all there!

I found it impossible to get pit tickets for this show. I had 6 browsers open at the same time, and was refreshing like mad during the 10 second countdown.
I ended up getting Row B in section 203, which actually looks like first row of the loge, so I am not complaining.

I'm going to hit up Wilkes Barre and East Rutherford for sure and my boy interned at the the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes Barre So he said he can score some good tix for us.
Wilkes Barre would be a good show to go to with my friend from Penn State if it wasnt on a tuesday. i'll check with him to see if he thinks he will be able to go though. if i can get someone i know to go to the East Rutherford show i would like to go to that one aswell.

how does that work? i found section 100 - 2 tix in one browser, opened another to search, and when i tried buying the tix from the first browser it gave me an error. i figured bc of multiple browser windows open...

This also happened to me and then i say this: "We're holding these tickets just for you. Please complete this page within 2:00 minutes.
After 2:00 minutes, these tickets will be released for others to buy."

Amen, brother. How beautiful is it that these shows are on Friday and Saturday?
Goddamn, I'm gonna tear through an assload of $ over these two weeks...

anyone know the sale date for these shows? looking all over and cant find info
I haven't had any luck, either. I tried e-mailing both arenas, but they responded by saying that they have yet to confirm that TOOL is indeed playing, i.e. it's not officially official. I would imagine they will be going on sale soon though. Next weekend?
(I'm still keeping my fingers on MSG's pulse. How could they not play NYC?)

im gonna see what kind of seats i can get for that show, if i do what i did last saturday and actually get good seats i will go to the East Rutherford show, but if i can only come up with shit seats i will deal with having to wait until they come around here again.
also the guy that i work with came up short with the tickets he was supposed to get, so no fucking luck there. i still have three damn tickets to sell. if no one from the boards are going to buy them, im going to eBay. i need to at least get my money back for them, and if i get more than that i might buy a broker ticket for a good seat. but first and foremost i will wait for someone from the boards to deal with. i just wish i could be in that pit for just one of the songs.
anyone on this board not want pit tix for camden, nj ?

Hiya, kids!
Thought you might like to know that tickets for the show at Nassau Coliseum go on sale to the public via ticketmaster on Saturday, August 5th. Ten a.m., as usual.
I sent an e-mail to the arena, and this was their response.
I wonder if the East Rutherford show will have the same date.

Pretty big pit. THe stage extends out in the center, forming two L shaped areas, people can cram up close in the corners of those, as well as cram up against the extended panel. Normally on the extension is where the lead singer of a band would be standing and performing, but since this is Maynard I don't think this will be the case.
Because its so big youre gonna have to fight your way to the front and stay there. Get up close when ISIS starts and don't move. Have your buddy get the rounds of daquiris or margerhitas ( they are $7 a piece and are the size of Big Gulps, fuck drinking beer at this show ) and hope you don't have to break your seal until tool is finished.
I could be wrong in this estimation, but I want to say at least 300 people will fit in the Pit/GA area.
I always feel sorry for the people in the first few rows of seats behind the pit. Chances are they payed the same price for their seats as people did for pit tickets, yet they can't have the same fun as people 3 ft and a metal girder away from them are.
