I just thought this would be a nice show of support for the band. All you have to do is post in this thread and say "I will buy the album when it comes out" in so many words.

Just thought it would be nice to show we aren't a bunch of thieves, we are just that excited about the band's art.

I'm definately going to buy the album, maybe even 2 copies.

I haven't download it yet (or won't at all), and I fully plan on purchasing the album on May 2nd. I can't see what would stop me, short of stores not having copies available, or no money available to buy it.

I'm buying. In fact, I'll use this time to say that I'm avoiding this site entirely until after the 3rd. This isn't some lame boycott or anything. I just don't want to accidently see more about the album than I already have.

i'll be honest, i've heard the album a few times and right now and the only reason I would buy the album would be to show them support for their previous albums. if i've never had heard their other albums I wouldn't spend money on this one.

i'm hoping it will grow on me

You know, whether the guys take the time to read our little posts or not, I still have to put something out of value.

Tool has been a weapon of awakening for me. Not solely their music, but the references it spews off to apply such meaning and values to our lives. For that I'm grateful, for that I'll hold on and wait two more weeks. Their music is much more to me than sound, it's a testament to living and enjoying life. To questioning it. To hating it and every other emotion we may feel while under the influence of it and when we're seperated from it. Just like art is healing, so is music, and their's is a prime example of that.

Come May 2nd, I'll buy two copies. Not just because of the appreciation I want them to receive money wise, as that is sincerely not on the top of their list nor mine but because I want to preserve the memory of it forever. Just as my dad with his Zeppelin albums, I may with Tool's. Because I believe that the artistic input they put into their work is magnificent, it should be treated in an equal sense when it is put out here for us. So, no I'm not going to download it.

Probably buying 2 copies. One to listen to right away, the other for when that one gets scratched. Because they always do get scratched.

yea this board is weird...anyone heard of an mp3 player? its this thing where you can upload your songs onto this....shall we say, portable hard drive that has a microphone input....songs can't get scratched inside of there. once you've uploaded the songs, and maybe 4 years from now when that mp3 breaks, why, you can go back to your cd collection and upload that 1 time used disc again. its a novel idea, and saves cost. or how about making back-up copies of the real ones?

oh, i'll buy my ONE (1) (UNO) copy. fo sho.

Any person that got this today and won't buy the album is a piece of shit fake tool fan with no appreciation for what these guys have given.

I've gotten so mad over the years at my CDs that have cracked the fuck in half because of my shitty CD case. My NIN Fragile (Right, I still have Left), Deftones White Pony, RATM Renegades...I know there's more, fortunately no Tool CDs have fallen victim yet. At least I wised up and got rid of the fucking case.

I will absolutely buy the CD. I just had to listen to the recordings before they're released because stimulation numbs me, but what are ya gonna do, right?

This isn't a bad thread idea.
I haven't yet found a leak, and I'm not sure I'll even listen to it if I find one. Regardless, I'm buying this album the first chance I get.

Sorry boys, curiosity got the best of me. I'll repent by not only buying the cd, but playing it as loudly as possible everywhere I go. It's fantastic, your hard work has and will continue to influence me endlessly in so many positive ways.
