“As is the Modus Operandi of Puscifer, there will be a whole new show to accompany the Money Shot release. We’ve been leaving a few clues here and there as to what it may entail,” said Keenan. “As usual, we prefer to Show rather than Tell. Odds are if you’ve been a fan of the diverse nature of our performances in the past, you’ll want to go ahead and place those bets.”
It’s no surprise that Maynard James Keenan choose to debut the electro rock band-meets-comedy troupe on a Las Vegas stage (Puscifer’s first shows were at The Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort). In the intervening years, we’ve met a cadre of characters including Billy D and Hildy Berger, Major Douche, Peter Merkin and spent time around a campfire, with an Airstream in the background, as audiences enjoyed a Sonoran sunset. Puscifer, who thrive on the element of surprise, have revamped their stage show, with no spoilers to share, we can only say it exceeds the production seen in recent outings.
The live line-up for the Money Shot tour includes Keenan, Mat Mitchell, Carina Round, Jeff Friedl, Mahsa Zargaran and the newest addition, Paul Barker (Ministry, Lead Into Gold).

Whatever they decide to do, they became obsolete anyway. Even a terrorist group located on a bombed out city has already surpassed them, as they have more money and technology by now. Haha.

I listened to 10,000 Days in high school, after hearing Vicarious on the radio. Got into all their stuff shortly after. Took many years for all the lyrics and passages to really sink in, and I've been dying to hear the next one ever since. If there's one thing Tool's music has taught me is to be Patient, and I've stopped 'waiting' for this album for some time.

I do seriously wonder though - wtf is the next album going to be about? Any thoughts? And please, all jokes aside.

Just think - paradigm shift, manifestation.

See, I have a theory. I don't think we'll hear another album until people ponder this.

New beginnings? Reincarnation and the startup of new life. It makes sense to me since 10,000 Days was mostly about death and tragedy.

Maynard could be lacking inspiration...but hence the delay. Tool's isn't releasing a lesser album for the sake of fulfilling a contract. To write great music, you need to feel something just as great - in terms of emotions. Just think of the album 'Still Life'

Something like Reincarnation - everyone knows of it, but hardly anyone would believe it could apply to them. I think that's the direction Lotus.

Vicarious, Right in Two and Intension are on the state of humanity
Rosetta Stoned - a glimpse of the future, the burden and guilt from forgetting it
Jambi - giving up personal gains over losing what is now deemed most important to us

There's an idea of a New Earth out there, and there is also doubt that it will ever settle.

Blair's latest newsletter has a reference to the August 2006 newsletter. In that newsletter you'll find lyrics for Rosetta Stoned - which was the first song Maynard wrote lyrics to on 10,000 days.

My guess is this is a cryptic way of letting us know the new album has moved forward, music is done, Maynard is in, recording to take place soon.

Right on. I really do believe that when it's finished it will exceed all of our expectations, even the members of Tool. This new album could be the album that defines everything that we know, and don't know. Life, existence, comprehension, purpose and being. The capturing of space and time, future, past and present.

I will be meditating in the garden until it's finished. Gently summon me when it's time to experience the sounds that will define life and everything that encompasses it.

I am expecting a Zen-ness.

i heard that 10,000 days was actually an extended play release (BMB would often reiterate 'decoy') for a single off the upcoming 'full-length' album, which itself is said to clock in at 14.4 million minutes (or 10,000 days). so... should be well worth the wait!

It would be pretty rad to release an album on a 1024GB thumb drive.

part of me hopes this is true. but another part of me hopes it isn't because i want to be surprised.

somehow i feel if this were true, hellboy would be the first to tell us about it. what's more likely true is that Adam is pathologically perfectionistic and Maynard is does not give a shit at all, and we might never see this album come out.

When Lateralus was announced/leaked it was called Systema Encéphale and the B.S. track names were Malfeasance, U.V.R., Numbereft, Encephatalis, Musick, Coeliacus, Pain Canal, Lactation, Smyrma, and Riverchrist (Wikipedia)
